POST GAME [Round 25, 2022] Broncos vs Dragons

Yeah, did we even get a six again? Dragons were laying all over us all night.

We weren't good, and it wasn't the reason we lost, but it sure didn't help.
Got 1 when McGuire was monstering Arey but he just about had to get the whistle a blow it himself. The ref wanted nothing to do with it but was forced into it.

Looks like we did a lot better than the dragons going by the stats but still lost. The only stat that they dominated us in was kick metres. This team just boggles the mind.

0, there was one six-again that became a penalty after the Dragons player committed another foul play in the ruck. How it wasn't a sin-bin, I don't know.

Beaten by a better team. A shit team. Yet still a better team.

We had no idea what to do with the ball in hand. Whoever is coaching our attack, you can **** right off.

Captain Coach Reynolds you mean ?
Or assistant coach K Walters ?

The defence coach might work with the boys on some variations of the Reyno rush out of the line formation over Summer ?

That was actually a penalty after a bunker review.

I can't recall too many piggyback penalties for the Broncos. A lot of them seemed like they were blown by the video referee, or should have resulted in further action.

Capewell was rank Frikkin ordinary tonight and has been most of the season. When people ask what happened over the last 6 weeks you just need to watch Reyno his kicking game disintegrated, he rushed up in defence so many times and left our right edge defence posted and capewell dropped so many balls with the line open he’s now singing deep baritone.

Capewell is an average backrower that got lucky being part of a premiership winning side because he worked hard.

I had my concerns over him, especially him being a forward leader. Those concerns are still there.

He was and that's the point - he played one "season" under Kev for origin then refused to go back.

Other players who were still playing but ended their origin run for a final year of NRL still were turning up to camp to help players during the season, this has been an origin tradition.

Cam Smith want's nothing to do with Kev's coaching style, which is built on wishful thinking.
Kev took over in 2016 so Smith played 2 series under Walters and won both so you seem a bit off the mark here.

Plenty of opportunities in their red zone but totally lacked execution on most occasions. StG were awful but good enough to win tonight. Ben Hunt certainly was the difference.

The first 20 minutes were horrific for us, had to defend endlessly, Flegler binned causing us to be down a man, the team looked cooked 20 minutes in. Yet Kennedy gets 8 minutes and Carrigan plays 80 minutes. Kev just doesn’t seem to get it

Beaten by Ben Hunt. How fucking ironic.

I thought the Broncos reacted well to the Flegler binning. They survived the early onslaught and were enjoying success down the Dragons left. They just couldn't quite find that final pass with three passes to that left edge either being put down or thrown forward.

The Broncos were still on top until the Hunt 40/20 right on the shadows of half-time.

No doubt - we had endless chances but our execution in attack was disjointed and predictable. I just don’t know why we didn’t take advantage of our bench to give them a spell going into halftime after the effort they put in while Flegler was off.

Mam would have torn them apart.
he looked really dangerous against the eels too. Gamble did nothing at all on that left edge.

Because the middles were rolling and Fleg got his stint when he was in the bin. The only change he could have made during that period was Capewell who was atrocious.

Gamble put that pumpkin Capewell through a hole twice with the line open and twice the guy put the ball down.

WTF happened to Capes after Origin

P.s. i fucking hate Parker commentating on Broncos games ... i'd prefer Brandy, that's how bad (likely salty) that Parker is.
