He could've shown courage and leadership during the press conference by putting his hand up for his disgraceful performance, but instead he goes on about how he didn't see much wrong with our effort and performance, especially in our first 20 minutes... seriously?
It pissed down for plenty of the day, they had to change boots at half time, and their jerseys were see through from the water.
52 points conceded bro.

A captain in denial is the last thing we need, next time we face a bit of adversity hes going to drop his bundle again thinking like that.

Eels threw 53 more passes than us, as well 5 offloads. They had a completion rate of 88%.
How can we say conditions was a factor?
Blaming the halfback for 52 points leaked in defence is crazy bro.
I'm blaming a winger for 24 of them though.....Blaming the halfback for 52 points leaked in defence is crazy bro.
The Cowboys will win.
I don't know if we can turn a big loss like that around in a week.
The result last night takes me back to 2004 when the Broncos hosted Canterbury at Suncorp. it was a huge game with a big crowd and the Broncos were just completely humbled 46-18. It had a similar sort of feel as well. It wasn't a complete disgrace...just a timely reality check of how far the team was from being a premiership force.
Brisbane suffered a similar loss against Canberra in 2001 (Dell's final home game). Right now, I get the feeling the Broncos will follow a similar path.
Well, Niko certainly had an hand in a few of them as well, but he was just one of the many who didn't show up last night.I'm blaming a winger for 24 of them though.....
It was an 18 point loss
The game was over long before we pegged it back to 18. We could still be out there now and not catch them.
Outplayed in every facet of the game.
Respectfully, obviously you've been in this forum a long, long time, so you're a league and Broncos fan - which I certainly appreciate.18 points.

But if you honestly think the game was close or that we could have almost won / deserved to, as you've intimated, I'm sorry but you're being naive.
Aside from a handful of players, the way the rest played with no intent, no passion and dropped their bundle as soon as things got hairy - Parramatta should have annihilated us like the Storm would have. 24-0 after 20 minutes and 52-34 at full time says just as much about Parramatta as it does about us - which is why Brad Arthur was seething in the post-match conference.
52-34 is a hiding when you're second on the ladder and fifth does that to you.
18-0, 24-6, 30-12 are good solid wins and a lot different to 52-34, which is a scrappy and uninspiring game, one we lost to boot.
That said, I will support them again next week and every week like I have my entire life and will be more than happy to eat humble-pie if this is nothing more than a hiccup.
