Round 25 - Broncos vs Eels

Our obvious tries get checked over and over with a microscope but Klein awards that without even blinking.
Yep, and this is the guy that can't blow a try - he's normally too scared to actually make a call....

And that is what exactly? He put in a great kick only for the defense to let it down. He is not in the team for his defense, so he is getting to miss tackles unfortunately. So what exactly didn't he do? Was he dropping the ball on every kick return? Was he dropping every pass? Was he gifting Parramatta tries like his captain and co-captain were?

They scored 30+ points, what the heck else do you want your halves to do?

He ought to have worked with our right hand side, consistently, just as Milf ought to have worked the left, and also, worked together.

I suppose it's a coaching issue as much as a lack of positional sense

If the Broncos hadn't have beaten themselves they would have got the Eels in the second half.

Mate the warning signs have been there. This ridiculous, un-earned arrogance with respect to the pill and soft defence against anyone who runs hard at us is pathetic for a so-called 'contender'.

It is disgusting and we are absolute pretenders. We can beat up on weaker teams because our backline is excellent, but our forwards are a disgrace.

We have been in desperate need of a genuine front row for years and we still are. Blair leaving most likely only makes that need even more dire.

Our front row combined managed 45m in the first half...

Mate, c'mon. You have to admit he has had a game to forget tonight, when we need one of our most experienced, respected players to steady the ship as captain he has been absent...
folded like a paper towel

And just so we're clear I'm a long term Boyd supporter. But the teams performances over this season have masked his decline.

I think the Origin I debacle and having to step aside to Billy has affected his confidence and effectiveness in attack ever since...

You do realise we are currently second and if the sharks beat roosters will probably stay there.
Players have bad games and bad patches but he is a proven winner and our captain and imo deserves a bit more respect than frustrated bleating calling him a pea heart and shit and hoping he gets injured.

I know you're being facetious but you have no idea how close I am to this in reality. The NRL has just lost control of its own comp

sometimes after a game like that I try to tell myself, what's the problem, it's just a form of entertainment, is my world really gonna be so much worse because a bunch of blokes lost a game of footy.......

it SHOULDN'T affect me so much.....

He doesn't deserve for people to hope he gets injured, but he has been playing with a pea heart for most of this year. If he runs it back at all, he does so slowly in the overwhelming majority of cases.

That isn't what I call 'leadership' and when you aren't a 'talker' or a 'doer'...

Yes that. How does a game, a game like c'mon affect me so much. I know full-well that I will have a shit day tomorrow

And we let Norman go. Sigh. What a shameful performance. Just shameful by pretenders and certainly not contenders. Nikorima has done his dash as far as I am concerned. Marshall to half for the rest of the season, and Thaiday to the bench. No more of this Thaiday hooker shit. Stupid experiment
Looked good until a very smart coach watched the last two games and figured out how to pick the plan to pieces with raw aggression. I know we made an unbelievable number of mistakes but a lot of that was the result of being rattled by a team that got stuck into us and we couldn't stand up to it. The drop off the kickoff was a shocking start but after that they were all over us and we were never gonna match them...

If I was Eels supporter, I wouldn't read too much into it. Broncos would have lost to any team in the League tonight, and Semi's godlike performance just made it into a thrashing.

Positives are that we still managed to put 34 points on. Would not want to be a Cowboys fan next week.

Still....disgusting effort boys. Shame!

Again, what exactly didn't they do? How is leaking 50 points KNik's fault? Your halfback is in the side to score your team points and there is no argument with KNik at even we haven't been scoring points. He was behind a pack that was slaughtered tonight, what more could any halfback (except JT or Cronk) have done with what little he had?
