IMO, Maranta's problem is not his defence. and he is safe under the high ball.

Agreed he is not bad under the high ball, but his tendency (or habit) to come in off his wing leaving his winger unmarked is what IMO makes his defence suspect and what I think the Knights will attempt to exploit

I'm guessing Hook has decided it's better to go with Maranta given his experience and the nature of the game. At least we don't have Stagg in the centres this week or there would be 0% chance of a try down that side.
