Round 25 - Broncos vs. Knights - Pre-Match Discussion

All this talk of Baptiste/Granville in the 14. If we get Milford next season, he'll be in 14.

Hopefully he will be running in Segyaro touch football "standstill and wait for the holes in the defence to open" tries for us. ****ing amatuer stuff (and the difference between the two teams) but that's probably been said elsewhere.

You can't have a combination of Lui, Hala and Tasi on the field at once. They are lazy defenders.

Either Hannant or McGuire need to be on the field. Tasi could handle the first 15-20 minutes surely.

It was interesting watching Lui & Tasi. At one point they were essentially hunting as a pack, staying close together. In attack it looked really good, running in tandem, or one after the other, going hard at the defence and forcing quick play-the-balls. I was thinking that it looked good having those two as an impact pairing. Until the Segeyaro incident. And I remembered. Oh yeah. That's why they only play for 5 minute stretches.

So... with Prince announcing his retirement and Wallace being released.. do we let them finish their seasons? Or do we give a couple of young guys a bit of experience? I think Prince deserves to finish off his career in style, he's earned it, Wallace on the other hand.. should probably be dropped to QCUP Corey Norman style.

Swap the 2 and 4 , I'm with you on that team. Granville a must for mine and I like the idea of Oates in the centres. I reckon he is quick enough

It's when you divide the field into 13 sectors. Starting at your goal line, player 1 runs the first sector. Then, as he passes out for lack of fitness, he passes to the 2nd player, and so on.

Mind you, it won't happen when we actually have an opposing team.

Sorry - I couldn't help myself. I was looking at your avatar.

It's when we don't lose the ball or get tackled from one end of the field to the other

surely a length of the field try isn't allowed in the NRL. The broncos never do it

need an attacking right centre and i also think kahu is the man , stagg needs to be in the middle to ease the tackle count for mcCullough

After watching Kahu limp on the wing last game, I think he needs a rest.

Oates is The Man. Drew to wing. Time to give the young ones experience

Snowden being out (it will be bullshit if he isn't suspended) and Prince announcing his retirement which will undoubtedly lift the team I can see us getting a narrow win but it won't be a pretty one.

Or some of our lazier forwards could harden the **** up a bit and get more involved. Wouldn't be an issue if we had the fitness of the better teams. IE. the fitness our players should as members of a professional sports organisation earning 6-figure salaries.

None of our players would make the whole length of the field without calling for oxygen.

i guess jake the muss was right. too much weights and not enough work on speed. who cares if you can bench press record numbers, if the opposition tackles in numbers, you'll still get smashed

I doubt Hook will drop Wallace for these last two games

That'll have to do. Welcome back Glenn!

Glenn is certainly better in the centres than Stagg, I think he should probably get used to the position actually, it may very well be his until Hodges returns mid next season.
