Round 25 Discussion

"Dogs of Justice" what the **** does that even mean? Dogs fans are nuts.

Getting to the pointy end of tipping comps. I'm in a decent one at the golf club ( winner to receive around $1500) and 1 point off 3rd and 3 off 1st.

Anyone else tipping the chooks this week to beat Sharks.?
Yeah I am

All is right with the world.

I'm glad the Bulldogs are out of the top 4. I would have felt embarrassed being a fan of the sport and seeing their pedestrian attack stink it up in one of the biggest games of the season. While you can point fingers at a bunch of players, for mine, the biggest issue is Michael Lichaa. This is a player they moved Michael Ennis on for and his service is like a rusty gate. The issue is he telegraphs everything he does. He's like Andrew McCullough in slow motion, a sloppy mess that prevents the Bulldogs from ever getting a roll on.

Even so, the Bulldogs have won premierships with worse dummy halves. Corey Hughes anyone? His 1-2 combination with Adam Perry maybe one of the worst dummy halves combinations in recent history. Yet the Dogs pack with names like Price, O'Meley, Mason, SBW, Asotasi etc was so dominant they didn't require anybody that amazing. A strong forward pack has generally been their trademark and while their 2016 pack is nothing to sneeze at, there's a lot of holes there. I look at a player like Tony Williams and I just wonder what Des is thinking. I also have no idea what Lloyd Perrett has done to be exiled from the 17 but that's another story altogether.

With players like Abbey, Smith, Phillips, Liolavave, Montoya etc. coming through the Bulldogs are obviously building towards something but they've been caught a little flat-footed in 2016. A couple of recruitment decisions are beginning to bite and Des hasn't been able to deliver that premiership that seemed all but certain a few years ago.

Nice to see the Cowboys back. It was a return to form for them and they should be in the thick of it again come September. Good stuff, well deserved.

Corey Hughes wasn't that a bad of a player from memory

I've said it before the Bulldogs are a gnarled bunch of overachievers. They've got great commitment and all work for each other especially in defense but they just don't have enough spark out wide to trouble or be a genuine threat, Their wins are usually on the back of their defensive work and some I've seen were on the back of Reynolds.

Performance from the Cowboys was good, what Thurston was doing was Storm like. Masterful play of forcing repeat sets and building pressure. They could possibly take out the premiership this year as well but they will be fighting against history if they are to do it.

Re: Broncos Player Movement and Rumours 2016

I've never heard of this player before.

edit: this made more sense when it was in the wrong thread.

Where did I post it?

Agree about Lichaa pete i thought the dogs went far better with Garvey earlier in the year but he hasnt had a chance since Lichaa has beeb fit.

 Parker.

Comes up with a big play, only to shoot himself in the foot.

Vaughan is no stranger to the try-scorers sheet. Out of all the prop forwards, his foot work has to rank among the best and he was just able to catch Buhrer out.

Awful from Trbojevic.

He made no genuine effort to catch that pass and as a result Rapana has streaked 90m untouched.

The way this game is going, the Raiders are going to give the Sea Eagles a touch up here and it really has nothing to do with how well the Raiders are playing.

Raiders doing it easy without Austin but to be fair, it is an unenthusiastic Manly they're playing.

I really don't think Turbobitch is as injured as the commentators would have you believe. He's running normally and scoring tries. I think at this point it's being used as an excuse for the mistakes he makes.

Our left side would have a field day against this Raiders defence.

I'm excited seeing Big Papa coming back to his best.

A poor miss by Taia there and shit attitude from him not getting back to the line gifted the panthers that try.

Hope Titans start showing more than this, or we'll be finishing 5th at best.

I don't think the Titans are ready for the finals. They've over performed this season. Still capable but look gun shy.

Bunker interferring again overturning an onfield call incorrectly which led to a panthers try

Titans not stepping up to the occasion so far.
