PRE-GAME Round 25 - Rabbitohs vs Broncos

Interesting stats on NRL.com

Luke vs McCullough

That is interesting. . Clearly very different. I would always have to go with the player who makes the least errors though. That's a big stat!

I'd go with luke as an interchange rather than a starter if i had to choose between them

Very interesting

True, but if we aren't going to field guys that were owned by Souths the last time we played we better hope the U20's boys are all up for a first grade debut tonight.

Exactly. People just don't see things for how they are through agenda shaded glasses

Where is McCullogh ranked on the tackle list?

1st with 1036.

Made 14 more tackles than Mannering who is in 2nd and 98 more than the next hooker on the list (Smith).

We signed McCullough knowing he's a very safe hooker, great defensively, not a lot of anything offensively. Those numbers pretty much back that up. I'd really like it if he had an extra 3-4 runs from DH a game, when he sees that he can make a quick 10m.

my only real problem with Macca is the speed of his service ... if our halves or hit up runners get quicker ball from him, then i they can make a play without the defence being in their face by the time they get the ball.

That's a great illustration of an attacking 9 Vs a defensive 9, someone else must make those 17.3 tackles per game if you want to go for the attacking option.

While I agree, I'd like to see Blair and Thaiday pass the ball to our edges and backs where I think Souths are quite vulnerable on both sides. Our passing game is what has been winning games for us and that has been a bit lacking of late ... and defend on the front foot.

Dummy half runs are great when the defence is on the back foot from quick play the balls. Because we get wrestled and dominated in the ruck, plus some teams are allowed to just lie on top of our players for hours then stand side by side at marker, any runs Macca puts in will only get a few metres followed by an even slower play the ball.

I really thought/hoped that we would've seen this against the Dogs. It certainly worked for us earlier in the year but seems to have been locked away of late.

Game will be decided by the error count.

Hold the ball and we win.

If Broncs are serious about contending for the premiership they really need to flex their muscle tonight and dominate the rabbits. 2 weeks out from finals they gotta take some form into it. None of this tanking before finals, finals start tonight
