How come the two(Melbourne and Manly) best sides are always our bogey team?

i feel the least confident against manly over any other team. i dont know why. i think they've given us a few good solid touch ups in recent years that i cant really remember because i chose to forget.

however if we can turn up to brooky and beat manly (without manly just having a terrible night) then theres no reason we cant consider ourselves a genuine chance at winning this comp, considering we should have beaten melbourne and werent THAT far off the mark against the doggies.

anyway, GO BRONCS

Well said .... i'm of the same opinion.

Manly are certainly beatable, but we'll have to be at our best.

Every match from here is a Grand Final effectively. We lose any matches we can't win the premiership. The only thing in our favour is that we've turned our attitude around and if we can win the next two it's going to give us a huge amount of confidence going into the finals. It's likely we'll play the Cowboys or Sharks in week 1 of the finals if we do slip into 8th. Both of those teams are beatable.

Q. What does it mean for us "to be at our best"?

A. Given that we have the skills and combinations to blow the Dogs and Storm away, all that is needed is commitment, focus and less bad ref calls than the opposition for the whole 80 mins.

(Although having a fit Parker, Glenn and McGuire would definitely help)

1. Norman
2. Beale
3. Reed
4. Hodges
5. Hoffman
6. Hunt
7. Wallace
8. Hannant
9. Macca
10 Civo
11. Glenn
12.Thaiday
13. Parker

14. McGuire
15. T'eo
16. Gillett
17. Baptiste

If Manly get an early roll-on we'll get smashed, have to get off to a good start and not fade away.

Hopefully Griffin doesn't take our best forwards off all at the same time again.

Manly look like they will be depleted. Ballin, D Williams, T williams ( possible suspension), King are in doubt. They have a top 4 spot pretty much wrapped up so I doubt they will take any chances with the injured players and may plead guilty to the Williams trip to wipe the slate as much as they can of carry over points.

Are you saying their might be light at the end of the tunnel for the Broncos?

Just that this week could be the best time to play Manly at Brookvale. We are due a spot of luck, and whilst I'd prefer to beat them full strength I'd take a win just about any way right now.
With just a bit more luck we could hit the semis at full strength.

If no one comes back from injury, I'll be real worried. Civo and Hannant seem pretty unfit at the moment, we need McGuire to cover for them. Glenn would be great too, he and Parker play the full 80, so there are less positions that still need to be filled by quality players.

if we take it to them early in the forwards we can batter them into submission.

the knights defense was terrible today. we can do a whole lot better than that. we just gonna stick to our guns and grind it out.

has there been any word at all on glenn?

mcguire should be right to go.

Well we battered both the Bulldogs and the Storm early...and then Dodds and Lui came on.

Pretty sure he's not due back for at least a couple more weeks ???

McGuire will be back this week so we'll at least have one decent interchange forward.

Glenn was assessed at 4 weeks, I haven't seen any updates to say different.

mcguire + gillett on the bench means only one dud will be required. fair go on gillett he went decent on friday, off the bench like he should be. i'd probalby take dodds over lui

From skimming over results I think we've won 2 of our last 3 at Brookvale, so we shouldn't be worried about the "fortress". Pffft, fortress. Maybe fortress of ****wits.
