POST GAME [Round 26, 2023] Broncos vs Raiders

In a blow for the Raiders, representative forward Corey Horsburgh may also receive a three-match ban after he was cited with a Shoulder Charge offence in the 79th minute of the loss against the Broncos. His teammate Jordan Rapana was charged with Dangerous Contact (tripping), while Zac Woolford was charged for a Crusher Tackle.

Did we get penalties for the shoulder charge or crusher? Or another case of no penalty for us, for things later cited by the MRC - the direct opposite of Broncos players being penalised or binned for innocuous shit that is later not even charged by the MRC?

those charges show just how grubby the Raiders are ... 3rd and subsequent offence for both Rapana and Horsburgh + second offence for Woolford

we did for the shoulder charge ... but IIRC not for the crusher

3 weeks for the shoulder charge from big red hey...

Rapana gets away with another fine. Isn't that 4 charges now in 3 weeks for very similar instances? He clearly isn't getting the hint.

1 for Staggs is fine. It was dumb. I don't think the force was there but he absolutely bit into the niggle they were dishing out and it was a reaction based on that. Dumb.

It will be interesting to see if Ricky gets any fine after his outbursts during the match and it's aftermath.

he swears at a camera man the questions the integrity of both the refs and the NRL ... not to mention the NRL having to contact the Raiders media manager to get them to tell Ricky to get his ass to the presser.

p.s. Crawley say the NRL is to blame for Ricky swearing at the camera man and having a go at the refs in the presser. Hypocritical view given, IIRC, he was one of the many who thought 3 weeks was too lenient for Walsh

Yeah that is a good result for us. Definitely take the week and run. We should be resting all our key players for next week anyway.

Also, while I loved the crowd atmosphere and would love to see more of that at games as you want the cheers, the boos etc, I do want to highlight that the boos for Oates' 200th was really poor and such a shame because the atmosphere otherwise was fantastic.

Aren't we still waiting for Robinson to receive his suspended fine for subsequent repeated outbursts? I don't think Ricky needs to worry.

Ricky should be worried about the insinuation that the NRL is out to get Canberra, they usually come down hard on that.

Crawley says the NRL is to blame for Ricky swearing at the camera man and having a go at the refs in the presser, thus should receive no penalty. Hypocritical view given, IIRC, he was one of the many who thought 3 weeks was too lenient for Walsh

Crawley's brother is Ricky's assistant.

Coaches fined for swearing during games are you being serious?

It's one thing to be in the coaches box and swear to no one in particular when something doesn't go your way, I think it's another thing to notice a camera is directly filming you and mouth/say "f*** off" straight down the barrel, imo.

There was nothing in it, 1 week is fine.
I'll accept it as payment for Staggs's ridiculous handling errors and an absolute shocker with the boot.

He deserves at least 1 week for what he dished up last night.

It's always the week gutted dogs that call others that to deflect.

Rapana and Horse both ate shit in that game at the end, Tapine gets it next year since those shit ***** are not going to make Finals.

The NSW dominated commentary team would celebrate the dog shot on Walsh, after watching him cut NSW to pieces this year, they have to take anything to feel good again.

Coaches looking down the barrel of a live to air camera and saying “**** off” doesn’t warrant some sort of action, you think? Maybe even a stern finger wagging?
