I think Hoffman has to go back to fullback, and bring either Maranta or Whitchurch back onto one wing.

Norman looks lost at fullback all of a sudden.

Stick with Norman at fullback but get Hoffman to take as many kick returns as possible.

I just hope we can come away with one more good win this season, so that our last win won't end up being that extremely unconvincing one against the Warriors like in the 3rd quarter of the season.

It'll basically be 3 months since we were all satisfied with a win (vs. Roosters R14).

Yes! It feels like so long ago that we won a game.

It's only his third or so game there since we decided to play him at the back, eff switching him already. He needs more time there if anything.

I honestly don't know what Griffin can do. I think the players are trying but I don't think the want it. It will either click or it won't. Griffin really needs to use the bench better because his rotations are completely ****ed. Griffin is in poor form just like the team is IMO.

Civo to start is already a huge improvement, still don't think his idea to start his most lethal players was smart. Ya need to set a platform, that's crucial and Manly just killed us from that point.

McGuire only getting 40 mins and Petero 22 mins Friday night does seem to agree with you. Hannant only played 30 mins but he had an injury.

The team looked pretty revved up before the game ........and held their own for a while. Manly started scoring, we stalled and the game plan went out the window

...assuming we do have a game plan.

That's where we are really missing Lockyer. Someone out there to steady the ship when things get a little bit rocky. Someone who knows how to hang on and how to get us back in the game.

Really don't know where that someone is going to come from now, or in the future.

Really agree with this. I have no faith that this team as it stands has the fortitude to come back from any deficit. Against Melbourne we went down by just six and I felt that that was an insurmountable lead. When Manly went out by sixteen points it definitely seemed like the game was gone.

In the past, you could always say that if the Broncs were close enough, they were good enough. Even down by sixteen, with enough time on the clock you'd give them a solid chance of turning it around. No longer. They need someone who can rally the troops and get them back in the game. As you say, I don't know who that is right now.

we'll get belted, absolutely no confidence running through the team. Crunch game last week vs Manly was the last straw and not even Petro's last ever game will lift them.

just sad..

I posted this something like this elsewhere. There is a game plan, at least that's the word from those who have watched our training sessions, and we saw how good it could be over the matches prior to Manly.

The only real difference, to me at least, between last year's successes and this year's failures can be attributed to one word: Lockyer.

Without him, not just the team, but almost everyone seems to have gone backwards, especially when any pressure is put on the side.

I can't see anyone in this squad remotely capable of that kind of leadership, presence and organizing skills. So what's the answer? This year's experiment has failed so far.

Maybe it's time every player learned and took seriously that each is responsible for how the team performs, plays for each other and takes pride in excellence and their club - especially , or if only to send the great Civo out on a winning note.

well results have certainly gone our way in the other games.

Except Canberra...

And they somehow look likely to manage to maintain their year in/year off the finals streak!

Its not the best thing to limp into 8th and get flogged by the Cowboys.

If we play like we did against the Storm, I'm pretty confident of beating the Cows. We just need to win in the final round to get some confidence back.

im not actually confident we can beat the panthers. they have been going quite well in the last couple of weeks.
