Round 27 v Storm / Strategy?

Not resting players when your position is sewn up is malpractice as an organisation. If you are that mentally weak or scared they won't rise up because they had another week off you don't deserve it anyway.

Unless a player has an injury, no need to rest. We'll get a week off in week 2 of the finals.

No rests. If we had played as much footy as the Panthers as a team maybe. But our team has not played enough together to miss a week of football

I wouldn't rest anyone. Go hard, we've just had a bye and we get another bye if we win week 1. We should be fresh ASF but I would pull Reyno/Walsh/Haas/Patty final 15 if game is won.

These games are always reffed so weirdly. We are in it for thirty minutes, a rule gets thrown out completely such as holding someone in the scrum, drop kicking for your winger etc. and we just don't compete. All I ask is that we are reffed fairly.

It's ridiculous. Every Storm game my group chat is variations of, "WTF is happening". Just weird shit, usually against us. Like you said, the Slater 'field goal', Carrigan "Hip drop", Early HIA's, Storm plodders turning into Immortals just for one game, Papz scoring one million tries in 10 minutes etc etc. Oh and how could I forget, Coates actually catching an attacking kick😑

Yeah I was thinking that the only people that like the Storm beating the Broncos more than the Storm themselves, are the NRL. They have facilitated over so many either completely wrong, or "one-off" interpretations that are never seen again, that it's no wonder the team are rattled by them. This is where we absolutely stick it to them and as they are lying on the ground, nearing defeat, we lean down and whisper in their ear "you mummy can't help you this time" and drop our knees on their calves.

We need to get the Storm monkey off our backs sooner, rather than later. If we lose the last game of the season against them and then have to play them again in finals, I would not be confident.

IMO we need to put out our full team against Canberra and the Storm. They account for two of the 5 losses we have had this season and in some ways will be a marker showing how far we have come as a team this year. If we can comfortably march past them, then I think it will give the boys an extra confidence boost that will go a long way.

The win-loss ratio between the Broncs and the Storm has to start righting itself at some point and this is the season it will start to.

When are you signing on as head of performance ?
What evidence do you have to back up such strong words ?

In other words you hope Penrith do it again this year since you play them in the last round.

Our case is different because of the late bye that I don't think it's much of an issue to do so, unless we have alot of players carrying niggles it's better to just play through it and focus on getting the week 2 finals break.

They won't be resting anybody because they will be going for the minor premiership I would say. Has nothing to do with that. You simply don't play guys if you have your position stamped. It is dumb but is not surprising some of you guys think they should play....
