Tough, gritty win on the back of Payne, Carrigan, Willison and Jensen giving Arey some room to work.

Backline looks clunky and poor in defence, and Reece seemed to get worse the game went on. Lot of work needs doing with that lot imo.

I am a bit worried we are going to be flat track bullies a bit like Parra were a few years ago. Some of those tries we scored were against some very poor defence ( a bit like against the Rorters ). We didnt step up against the Raiders who were way more solid, we need to do it against the better sides now.

Wins a win though. Cant grumble.

take the win. dont talk about the same old dumb footballers in our side that keep making the same dumb mistakes last few years.

only thing we take out of that game is our defense was solid. but its hard to say how solid because cows attack was putrid

but wins are so vital for a team like us with so many potential origin players. need to win majoriy of our games before origin to stay within the top 4

We played terribly and Todd Smith was awful with a predictably lopsided count to keep the game close. Happy to get the 2 points.

Walsh needs to put away the pass for a few games and just run.
We can’t complain about the lopsided penalty count with the amount of 6 agains we got. Our performance or the outcome of the match was not on the ref at all

All criticism aside, I hope the group and the coaches get around Reece after that along with last week.

The difference this week is that he was putting the effort in but he still couldn't get it right.

We need a lot of fundamental training still. I don't care about being entertainers - winning is all that should matter in that regard

Nearly every error is the exact same… Walsh playing second receiver in a sweep play off a slow play the ball, defence rushing right up and getting in his face and Walsh (in the microsecond he has) frantically trying to shift the ball laterally and either forcing a bad pass, not catching it cleanly or knocking it on as he tries to pass in contact.

He needs to be in space and looking to run, stop putting him (or letting him put himself) in the same circumstance over and over again and being surprised when we get the same results.
I think Staggs returning will help alot. Need more running threats (like when Reynolds dummied and ran), otherwise it's easy to target Reece, because it's all so predictable.

A good win despite of some terribly inconsistent reffing.
Haas looked like he was about to explode through all night.
Reece needs to sort his options out in attack because he is pretty much just a "wait until he runs out if room, then he'll panic" sort of player for the defence.
Cowboys were 5m offside for the last 10 mins when we were on their line, less than that was auto 6 agains in the 1st 30 mins of the game.

Bank wins like these while we are not going that well. We'll get slicker but these early wins are like gold. The Cows had so much momentum, so to get out of it pretty comfortably in the end, I'll take that.
I seriously hope we do click, but boy they look dire. Our props and rotation are so good, but we don't play to those strengths. I like Paix, Billy looked poor. Hunt and Reyno both look like they're holding off in favour of each other rather than complimenting each other. Our second rowers are pretty shit. Piakura looks broken and not good. On short drop-outs we SUCK. Like, we have to improve immensely to be anywhere near a premiership

Biggest positive I can take out of that was the defence in the first half when they just kept coming at us.

We resisted and went on to score two tries up the other end. It showed great character, which was missing last week.

Still, we're so incredibly dumb and invited them back into the game countless times. Luckily for us their attack is abhorrent.

Their defence is more abhorrent than their attack!

I actually think we need to entertain a bit more (everyone else, not Reece). Besides Reynolds, everyone else looks a bit predictable and easy to defend against. Pass it around a bit! Attack from our own half!
