I’m not convinced Reece’s issues are because he is down on confidence. I genuinely think he is still trying far too hard.
He wants to score off every single play. Just hold the ball and get tackled. Stop pushing every ball. We dont need to score off every play ffs.
100% just get back to basics, please.

I thought Kobe was good first game, but i think we are missing Patty at lock. I havent been overly impressed with Kobe sadly. He's been solid, but hasnt really done enough to replace Carrigan. Problem is though Patty has been a machine at prop as well.

FMD......that was ugly.

In one respect I'm pleased with the gutsy defence in the first half but man we need some line speed and bully in our defence.

Our attack was really poor, but I willing to put that down to Madge trying to get us to a decent place with our defence first, so I think attack will come as the year goes on.

The officiating as usual is just up to shit and the set restart after set restart really pissed me off in this game.............its totally farked up the sport.

100%. Playing carrigan as a prop is the biggest waste.

The problem I have with Reece, is that it’s the same issue every season. I just don’t know when he’ll learn.

He's not getting better, he's regressing from 2023 and its not like he is some inexperienced kid anymore. He's played more than enough first grade.

Thank god we won that. It was not enjoyable bar Payne’s rampaging try. The forwards and Reynolds did the work. Cobbo and Shiba also did some great runs out of our end. I really hope we can build of this. Reece mate, reset yourself this week, take a deep breath and start again. He is one good play away from firing I feel.

Early in the first half I had to actually check the NRL app for player stats to see if Hetherington had even been on the field or not.

Watching that Payne try back i'd be dropping Cotter and McClean for the effort they put in defending that. Wasnt even reserve grade defence.
