Agree for the most part, don’t forget he still made a number of hard runs out of trouble. He didn’t shirk the tough stuff and as bad as he was, he kicked the 40/20 that got us back in the game.
Yeah he did have a couple of good moments but unfortunately these last 2rnds have seen more bad than good. Errors will kill us against the good sides, much like they did against the raiders last week.
We need more out of our marque player.
I dare say he will have the next week or two off.
I have no doubt he can turn things around, I just think he needs to slow things down a little. Looks like he has a million different options running through his mind. Just needs to calm it a little imo.

Guys it's round 3. Look at where Penrith was and how they were playing in Round 3 some of the past few years.

There's still time. We banked the win, defended alright at times and have plenty of upside with still lots of improvement to come.

Nearly every error is the exact same… Walsh playing second receiver in a sweep play off a slow play the ball, defence rushing right up and getting in his face and Walsh (in the microsecond he has) frantically trying to shift the ball laterally and either forcing a bad pass, not catching it cleanly or knocking it on as he tries to pass in contact.

He needs to be in space and looking to run, stop putting him (or letting him put himself) in the same circumstance over and over again and being surprised when we get the same results.
I'm a massive Walsh fan, but this is bang on the money.

Reece still camps out wide way too much where the defence is just waiting for him. He needs to be hiding around the ruck and looking for the offloads. Haas, carrigan and even Kobe are getting those half breaks without any support other than a stationary paix or Walters.
He is scared to get hit mate. He really needs to incorporate his game in the middle and not be scared to take a few hits. I dont believe toughness is a size issue but rather something he needs to incorporate into his game. Smaller players like papen and slater arent huge but always pose a massive threat in the middle with line breaks

Idk if only i have picked up on this, but i pretty much gauarntee every time a team does the short drop out agaisnt us we will never get the ball back, its happned lile 99.99 percenr of the time the last few years, surely they can do some drills on it, they look like they never have any urgency to get the ball

The only really good thing about tonight's game was our line speed. That definitely improved, we were in their face alot more and off the line quicker, real good. Our overall defense a close 2nd.

HOWEVER

I cannot believe how diabolical Reece is, it's hard to watch and making me not like him as a player. You can tell he's a show pony. Just wants to score off EVERY play, his decision making is horrendous. He's just not good atm. Defenses have worked him out, all you have to do is put pressure on him, get in his face and he'll make an error. He's hurting our team more than anything and I hope he does get suspended for 1-2 weeks. He needs to figure it out.

Overall as a team we are very disjointed and clunky. I can't believe what I'm seeing at times, for the amount of talent we have, we would of lost to 99% of teams tonight.

Walsh is the perfect candidate to be playing up the middle with that acceleration of his. He would only need to worry about running straight through some tiring forwards that someone like haas will rough up already.

Yep 100% mate, if hethrington can get a line break I reckon Walsh should be able to as well haha
