This is a gimme.
I’m still annoyed at haas’ suspension but also pleased at flegler getting a game. He’s now ahead of Su’A from my POV
TyThat's cause you're a goat
Don’t jinx us
Making the trip from Darwin all the way down for this game (well I have my sister in-laws wedding to go to as well) and I’m really looking forward to watching the game live. I swear to god if they play like they did week 1 of the finals last year they will ruin my holiday and make me very angry. I haven’t been to a live game in years. I hope I’m not disappointed!!
I think Su'a gains value from the fact that Alex Glenn and Matt Gillett both turn 31 this year. In the very possible event they both retire in the same year in the nearish future, having Su'a as an experienced option beats going to market to find 2 edge backrowers in the same year. I think we're going to have to lose 1 or 2 middle forwards though. There's only 5 spots in the 17 for Lodge, TPJ, Ofahengaue, Haas, Flegler and Carrigan and even if we want to keep all of them that decision's going to be taken out of our hands by some pretty hefty offers.I don’t get where my opinion of Su’a in the pecking order in forwards that are a must keep is having a shot at him. He is valuable to the team and yes I would love to keep him.
But gun to your head, if you had to lose 2 of the current crop of forwards who have played first grade at the moment to sign the likes of Oates, Pangai, etc long term who would be your 2? Think most of us here love Alex Glenn but if push came to shove I reckon 99% of people would have him as number 1 that we can cover and then it would be a toss up between Su’a and maybe Flegler but Flegler is only starting out and would currently be on minimum wage so that’s an unfair comparison.
Complete opposite to having a go at him mate. He is a good player didn’t say otherwise. This is a hypothetical scenario in terms of planning our salary cap around trying to keep a great group of forwards together long term. I have Fifita as a more promising long term prospect than Su’a
Not sure why you are saying only five spots when it's a 17 man game. We can easily carry eight forwards even when you make an exception for the hooker.I think Su'a gains value from the fact that Alex Glenn and Matt Gillett both turn 31 this year. Thank you. That finals game was the last live game I’ve been too so the sour stench in my mouth is still wafting around and I need to get rid of it ASAP
Mind you I had a bad run last year. Went to 3 games live. The Manly double header, the Warriors home game and the Dragons Week 1 final. We got pasted in all 3 games convincingly. Think I might give it a rest this year as to not derail our season!
Glenn was better than Sua’a ainec.
Not one for fat shaming but the fucker is fat
I'm afraid that they are destined to keep fucking us for as long as the Sims dynasty continues to exist. We might have to go all Bolshevik on them.Hopefully Sims can repeat his finals form. The sims family has fucked the Broncos for the last time.
