Not sure how Lui is getting the bench spot over others. Do not rate him. Slyney should be above him
If Hodges is out and giving a young fella a run isn't an option, I'd much rather Stagg start centre than Gillett.
Parker doesn't need to be mobile in his role, by playing him we have three tight forwards at a time, it's great. If you wanted to promote Stagg it would have to be at the expense of Gillett.Putting Gillett in the centres is just stupid.
At the moment, he looks overweight and his lateral speed in defence is suspect, which probably partly explains his grabbing at runners instead of wrapping them up or hitting them. And I'm one of his greatest fans. And he also makes it openly clear he is and wants to play back row.
While Jennings may, as Coxy observes, run past the ball as much as players, I reckon his form is good and he will get quality ball and if he does, he will run rings around Hodges and anyone else for that matter if given half a chance.
The way Hodges pulled up lame last game looked pretty serious to me. It would be equally stupid to play Hodges as much as Gillett in the centres. Each are suspect in their lateral defensive abilities which means serious problems against Jennings in particular.
I just can't even contemplate Griffin playing either of them in the centres. Utter folly.
I hope he brings Hoffman into the centres and promotes Kemp, and plays Stagg as starting lock, with Parker into the prop rotation. I still believe Parker is better suited now to prop and has lost too much mobility for the back row

LACHLAN Maranta has been pegged as a solid winger without a lot of flash.
"I haven't had much open space yet but hopefully when I do you can see how quick I am,'' Maranta said.
He ran the 100m in 11sec flat as a 15-year-old and went to the national track and field championships in Year 10 for sprint races and, bizarrely, shot put.
"I have been working on my weight a lot and on my defence as well with Stephen Kearney,''
I'll eat my hat if Hodges plays.
Yep, why not give Kahu a go? You'd think it would be a good time.
