As much as I am a great Gillett fan he has made it clear he wants to play back row, it's where he most effective and it looks to me like he has bulked up. His lateral defence is also still a bit suss. I can see Jennings having a field day. Stagg in the centres?

It's easy to find how many tries he scored as a centre, but without going through all the footage, how do you know how many he let in?
From memory, I don't recall him being that much of a liability in the centres, and he at least has the ability to make something happen as a centre, besides he is deceivably quick.

In this case we have to account for a left side attack with two weapons in Jennings and SBW, against a left side defense with two weaknesses in Prince and Maranta. I think Gillett and Stagg as counter-measures isn't the worst solution in the world, especially if the alternative is an unexperienced pair like Kahu and Maranta...

Yeah its official on the website. It's a good call, let Stagg do a lot of the defensive work in the centres and use Gillett in attacking opportunities.
