Was it forward though. My first gut was forward and I called it straight away but looking at replays I'm not so sure.
Without the benefit of being in line it's hard to say but I'm leaning towards it being ok.
It clearly comes backwards out of the hands and Lee slides as far as the ball traveled in the air so the momentum was matched.
