The game doesn’t need to be any faster than it already is. There is so much obsession about speeding the game up, it’s ridiculous.
It's too much, everything feels so frantic. Was the game really so slow without the shot-clock for scrums and dropouts? Now with the 6 to go rule it's out of control. Compared to the amount of stoppage time in any other popular sport in Australia, Rugby League was always a fast game. Makes me think that they are manufacturing the game to be as fast as possible for more tries due to fatigue and therefore they can run more ads.
A few times this round I have clearly heard people in the stands yelling FORWARD when a lineball pass is thrown.
I thought that might just be the players or people on the sideline being picked up by the mics.
