I would have said its between Keary, Munster and Tedesco. With Keary's ACL, we'll probably have to see how he comes back though.

That's massive news if Keary has done his ACL. Not only does that take them out of premiership contention, that could open up a spot in the finals.

It certainly puts Sam Walker under massive pressure. I rate him as the best halves prospect since Nathan Cleary emerged in 2015 and he's going to have to perform to that standard if he's going to get Sydney into the finals let alone Top 4.

Lussick and Lam got found out yesterday, they have massive issues now at 6,7,9 going forward - putting a line through them.

Roosters sure but Storm will be roaring again next week.

Keary is a huuuge blow, he's arguably the best player in the world and their only experienced half. Walker will be years away from being consistent regardless of the hype around him, but the Roosters are still going to cause other teams trouble... I just can't imagine them not.

i don't recall very many people (if any) saying it at all ... seems like revisionist history to me.

while most didn't necessarily want him gone, they wanted him out of the halves and used as a impact player off the bench. when Nikorima decided he didn't want to play that role, and requested a release, i didn't see too many objections (if any) to it being granted, so he could take the Warriors bigger offer

I was definitely in the keep Kodi sack Milf camp.
I'd still swap Kodi for Milf today too. I always maintained Niko would provide more or the same for less than half the price.

I'm happy that Kodi is still able to do his thing but he still lacks a lot of fundamentals you want out of a half and given the differences between the two teams I can't see how keeping him would have improved the team. Don't forget the Warriors re-signed him on bigger money which is why he jumped and why the Warriors went public about signing with Moses' aligned coaches and talent.

Over the last year or so, I've gone cold on mediocre halves. Neither Kodi nor Milford will make the Broncos truly premiership worthy, so there's no point to have either of them. If the Broncos want to be a power club again, they need to aim higher than that.

The problem is, in the salary cap era, you cannot afford two high quality halves unless you are the Roosters, Storm, Rabbits or other salary cap bending team.
