If i see something i think i've got wrong i wont blindly stick to it because that would just be plain stupid, but as i keep saying, i'm not changing my mind about where i think he isnt up to scratch based on one game where he didnt get put under much pressure.

I think he's fairly decent in attack, i think i've made that pretty clear but from what i've seen of him in Queensland cup and at times in first grade, i dont think he's as good as people make him out to be with some of his effort areas and his defence. We had this with the likes of Turpin when he first got in the team. People get carried away then the more they play, the more you see their flaws. He is what he is, a reasonable backup fullback.
I wouldn't be surprised if he is picked up as a regular starter somewhere else next year. On current form He would probably make the starting side at the tigers, bulldogs, dragons, raiders. That's pretty good for a backup FB. We are lucky to have him because cobbo seems far more prone to having a shit game than sailor is.

I don't know that he would be.

I can't see Dearden scoring the try that Ezra did tonight and I can't see Ezra making the tackle that Dearden did, although he nearly pulled it off in the first half, maybe without the obstruction he does pull it off.

Don't forget, Ezra made a try saving tackle of his own in the first half. Knocking the ball free too.

Bunker: FeLdT iS a SuPpOrT pLaYeR.

In what universe is he a support player? He's loitering in around where the play is and Townsend uses him to shield himself from Ezra. Feldt's hands are in the air and he's making no attempt to become a support player. That's an obstruction.

They wonder why players take dives.

Tell me we don't get a no try and a penalty to us if Ezra throws himself into Feldt and falls down.

Also, Ezra is the man that makes the near try saver in the corner, even if he is 'obstructed' the smallest amount, it impacts the tackle in the corner.

Yeah was a bullshit call. Cowboys copped a leveller at the end with Oates being a meter offside.

To me, edge forward, Hunt over my expectations, strong hands no matter strong carry or short ball from the half. But Riki still below the expectations, I get the defence is his advantage, but he's like below average attacking skills, I'll applaud him if one day no error no penalty......

Baker is much improved compared to the first three rounds, if he can offer as much as Plasia offers last year, and I'm confident Willson will step up matching Flegler's contribution towards the end of the season.

Yeah that defies belief. It is the absolute definition of an obstruction. People will say "the NRL will come out and admit they got it wrong", but after the Coates whitewashed arm fiasco, and the fact that they've been "apologising" for bad decisions post-game a ridiculous amount of times already this season, I'm more inclined to think they'll continue with the gaslighting and come up with a farcical reason why it was, in fact, the correct decision.

On the diving though (@Brocko mentioned that if Ezra dives it would get called back), anyone catch serial diver and milker Feldt? There was a Cowboys kick-chase and Feldt decided to go ol' reliable and just run in to the back of a defender to milk the penalty, and spectacularly skittled his way about 5 metres past the ruck. The ref had none of it, we quickly continued with our exit set, and Feldt was just lying off in the distance playing dead like the clown he is.

What Klein is saying is that by the time Feldt interferes with Ezra, Townsend has already run passed him. If a player runs their team mate on-side, they're considered a support runner and therefore not an illegal blocker.

The exception would be if Feldt grabbed a hold of Ezra and denied him the ability to chase.

If you can recall, there was a similar incident involving the Cowboys when they played the Sharks where the Cowboys were denied off a Taumalolo run because the Sharks were prevented from making a side on tackle.

I'd need another angle and slow-mo, but the argument is that Ezra was too slow to make contact with Feldt and be considered interfered with.
