Just watching the game now. Surely Kobe and Willison have to be permanent fixtures on the bench. So physical in defence. When Haas and Carrigan play big minutes to have two hitters on the bench is invaluable. Great assests

They were both immense this round. Kobe stepped up after a disappointing showing last week and the way those two fold blokes in the middle is amazing. I really like Willison on both sides of the ball, and think he tackles better than Haas. Kobe is just a throwback to a pure footy player. Solid, fast, brutal. Love it.

I also think these guys are reviving good tackle technique in the sport. I get really sick of this wrap the top, slow the PTB stuff that came from Melbourne. I want to see good tackle technique. I want to see blokes getting folded or dropping their nuts running at our defensive line. That makes me proud of how we play.

We have the best backline in the comp. no doubt.

get the forward rotation right and all troops on deck unstoppable.

Gee i loved seeing Staggs take a kick off reception and just charging it straight back

love this team

As these guys progress and get more consistent we can start cutting back on Haas’s minutes and get some more quality over quantity.

Similar to that dragons game last season where he came on after a decent break with about 10-15 to go and wreaked havoc.

It will also extend his career as you can’t play a prop 60mins a game for 10 years straight, genetic freak or not.

We’ve seen how far Lolo has fallen, especially after copping a significant injury

Agree. But I think as Kobe and X develop Kev will get that balance. The injury to Haas has been good for us as a future indicator. Full strength with Kobe and X on bench looks good

Cowboys will have ptsd from Reyno's kicking game after last night.
Was a clinic with the bombs and attacking kicks.
Whole team looked great.

Was impressed with Smoothy, Kobe and Patty, Sailor and Arthars safe as houses under the high ball.

Maam is the next big thing in the NRL without a doubt.

We won that game early with the Reynolds Riki bomb kick chase, it had Drinkwater rattled and completely off his game.
The first dropped bomb wasn't by Drinkwater, it was to Tualagi.

But Drinky had the worst game I've ever seen from him.

Bunker: FeLdT iS a SuPpOrT pLaYeR.

In what universe is he a support player? He's loitering in around where the play is and Townsend uses him to shield himself from Ezra. Feldt's hands are in the air and he's making no attempt to become a support player. That's an obstruction.

Feldt was the one who threw the grenade offload back there. Where’s he meant to disappear to? Nothing wrong with the call imo

This was the call I was thinking of.

Not identical but it goes to show how close the call was.

The thing with Klein's reasoning is that it's not really backed by evidence. Townsend had barely run passed Feldt when Ezra is interfered with.

This is when Feldt interferes with Ezra. Townsend is just about in line with Feldt.

In fact, if you look at Feldt, he actually steps into the path of Ezra. Now you could make an argument that he's getting out of the way of Townsend, but he still steps into the path of Ezra in doing so. Feldt can't disappear, but you also can't interfere with a defender whether intentional or not.

It's that final step that makes me think Feldt was doing it with the intention of slowing down Ezra.

If Ezra has a clear direct line to Townsend, I think he's pretty good odds of shutting down that attacking play. I don't see how it's not an obstruction.
