Not rating Eden personally. He's done nothing to give me a real reason to. Decent under the high ball but otherwise, he isn't much different from Maranta in his earlier days.
Most of the time I saw him defend he was in no mans land with Kahu already run in and thrown himself into a missed tackle so it Eden vs at least 2 every time.
Until he hurt that shoulder, Kahu's defense had been impeccable. After that, he really shouldn't have stayed on the field, and the Cows were smart to target that side. His tackling came close to losing us the game. Put your body on the line ffs.
It just wasn't acceptable for a first grade player. I don't ever want to see those piss poor attempts again.
He did good in everything else except that.
Kahu came up with some piss poor attempts, as well.
I think this game just shows how important Reed is to our left side defence.
Counting the days until Reed & Oates return.
I hardly ever, to my knowledge agree with you Kaz. I don't dislike Hunt but there is no doubt Hunt cost us the gf. He was the one player who let the team down. Yes, he got us there, yes, he played many fine games for the Broncos but it was his efforts that cost the club. That was before he dropped the ball.I will 'hate' him till I take my final breath on this earth.
The GF was OURS until he stuffed up. (nope, I will not move on. EVER.)

What event preceded Feldt's try, to hand 6 tackles back to the Cowboys. Clue: it happened in the 76-77th minute...

I would blame the ref before I blame Hunt.
Cowboys never should have even got the ball back.
Feldt knocked the ball out of Milford's hands and it went forward. It was a knock on.
Ref lets it go, Hunt picks it up and Feldt knocks it out of his hand. It landed in front of him and that was a knock on just about every other time throughout the year.
But still, Oates never should have come off his wing.
p.s - I'm watching the Magpies vs Jets game, Caleb Timu is an NRL player. He's got strength and skill, really like the look of him.
See, if this happened in reverse we would still be hearing about it from Cowboys fans. Couple that with the refs refusing to give ruck penalties to us in the last thirty for some unbeknownst reason (there were a number of clear cut penalties right in front of the sticks that would have taken us to 6 in front), and you have all the ingredients necessary for a Cowboys-esque conspiracy theory. But we - the Broncos as a collective - accepted our faults and took the result on the chin, as it should be done in the professional sporting world.
Edit: On that note, has anyone noticed that the Cows have become the new rorters when it comes to giving away ruck penalties on purpose when a team is on the attack? The refs need to do something about, because there is no disincentive whatsoever when you know that the refs will give you ridiculous penalties to square up the count.
