POST GAME Round 4 - Broncos vs Cowboys

Coote was exceptional.

Broncos hit the wall and looked out of it with about 15 to go but I thought they rallied well and kept finding some sort of way to hang around.

Attack wise they were very ragged and looked a bit out of ideas. Last year they reacted better to situations which is what they practise Bennett loves appropriate reactions instability/stability. They're not doing that this year yet.

This is spot on.

The way Morgan was used especially in the 2nd half was a real worry. They clearly saw we are struggling with our left side defence and exploited it.

As Porthoz said, we lack an organiser in the middle - we did run out of ideas. Thurston is an organizer which is why is so good. The Dogs have James Graham to organize their middle along with Mbye.

As win is a win, yes, and this one was so sweet, but I worry about our 2nd half where we scrambled so well to stay in the match but looked short on attacking options other than throw it to Milford (and Roberts).

No one is ignoring his flaws, not sure why that even needs to be said. But anyway...

So you state that Bennett's game plan cannot work without an organiser and neither of our halves are organisers, so how did we get to within one tackle of a premiership using a organisation requiring game plan with a lack of organisers? Who was organising our games last year?

I'm sorry mate, but that makes no sense.
Nothing of what I said means we aren't a great team. And where did I say that Bennett's game plan cannot work with our halves?
It doesn't mean it wouldn't work better with a good halfback. I am absolutely convinced of it!

P.S. BTW, without trying to put the loss on Hunt, we probably would've won the GF with one!

According to Fox Sports, Lara Pitt quoted Tony Archer saying he was comfortable with all the decisions going against the Cowboys last night, but not with the try taken away from Matt Gillett, which should have been awarded.

That's quality IMO.

On the game, they can bitch and piss and fucking moan all they want, Mr Fantastic himself had the opportunity, in golden point, to kick the field goal and instead CHOSE to go for a try. Not the second "controversial" one, prior to that. The 2nd set of GP I think it was. Eat a Milford flavoured dick **** bags

I thought Granville played out of his skin, but gee JT was filthy that he didn't get the ball during the Feldt forward pass play.

That was the game right there for the Cowboys.

Come to think of it I feel that the Cowboys are just whinging just to take the attention of their loss.

I never said you said we aren't a great team, why on earth do you keep bringing stuff into the discussion that wasn't part of it? It just dilutes the point.

You said that Bennett's game plan cannot work without an organiser. You then said that our current halves aren't organisers (are both running 5/8's) and something needs to change. Therefore, you without a doubt claimed that Bennett's game plan cannot work with our halves.

I honestly don't know if you are being serious.

Mistakes really do lose games

When this team stands deep and throws the ball around, as we did in the 1st 30 mins or so against the Panthers, the organisation just seems to work with Milford and Hunt, and structures being there to be utilised.

Last night I thought we stood too flat and flat footed in attack, and the passing was minimal compared to last weeks' 1st half.

Last night we were crowded cos of that and I think it is a bit unfair to blame Hunt for lack of organisation skills. He virtually had little time and space overall, to do a lot of organising.

Our game plan last night was for mine, not executed sufficiently well, and except for the few times it was, not enough. That's where our organisation became an issue.

When we stop the defensive leaks on the left side, and start using the ball more, e.g. out to Milford at 2nd or 3rd receiver, Roberts and Oates a lot, we will beat the Cowboys a lot more easily.

The best thing about the gh forum is that there is 1 guy who isn't an idiot. It makes for a great spectacle.
