All this talk about raiders huge pack but I don't rate it all that much. They are big but lack stamina. Melbourne tore us apart last week through fast play the balls and consistent good service getting them over the advantage line but raiders pack is not the storm.

Paulo - huge but no motor
Boyd - big but again no motor
Papa - looking like a career year for him and definitely a top tier forward
Whitehead - strong ballplayer but offers little in workload
Bateman - way undersized even for a lock

Soliola - comes on as lock strong in defence but his impact in hitups is minimal
Priest - I think he's a pretty solid prop but doesn't appear to get much game time
Taylor - big impact forward but also very real chance for a brain fade and will get minimal minutes before being gassed.

I think the donks can get the job done wth solid defense and if milford picks hos game up. Its going to be a tough game though. Dont be suprised if we lose again. But in saying that UP THE DONKS and i hope jordan rapana gets dropped. Cannot stand him and leilua

Completely disagree sorry. Last year we were the last team to beat them before their winning streak, and we won it by staying composed, being patient, and not forcing our hand. It frustrated them, they threw the ball around without earning the right and made errors and conceded penalties. It would seem that our defence is better this year than last, they're coming off a win against a joke of a team that does not value defence, this game should be no different to last years.

Agreed. Looking back at our past two defeats the most glaring issue has been our inability to complete critical sets of six. Particularly against the Storm where we turned over far too much in our own half and if it wasn't for our strong defence off our line the scoreline would have been much larger in the Storm's favor. We need to focus on making sure we actually maintain our possession and making the necessary metres first and foremost, then we are in a position to throw the ball around.
