Round 4 Discussion

Sandow nails a field goal and Eels lead by 7 with 3 and a half to go.

And then Eels get a penalty from the kick off

What a try - he had four Bunnies hanging off him. Great show of strength.

who would have thought the bunnies would lose to the Eels?

Good quality game here, both Grevsmuhl and Folau are having blinders and good on them for it.

Watching live footy after work on a Friday night is heaven man

You realise it's not live right? Both games are already full time.

It should be an easy win for Souths and Bulldogs.

I think Tigers could cause a headache or two early, but I think the Bulldogs will be too strong in the end.

Souths.. Even without Walker the Eels have no chance. They do play better at home, but without Hayne they are seriously lacking an attacking weapon that can turn the tide of a game.

Sandow has his moments, but mostly he hurts the team more than he helps it..

Well, the Eels showed what can happen when an organized team plays like they want to win. I also think the days of bagging Sandow should be over. He is playing class football. The Eels are shaping up as a class team, especially when their injured players get back.

That play was so typical of Norman.

He's come up with some terrible plays tonight but then he times his pass to perfection, finds Takairangi who's able to get Robinson outside the defence.

The work by Robinson was really good too.

Some of the finishes he's come up with are right up there with any wing in the competition.

Me! I thought they'd win. Not because they're awesome, but because I couldn't see the Souths winning yet again, they had to lose at some point.

Tbh Souths did show their first sign of vulnerability last week and their record at Parra isn't all that flash but I get your point.

Congrats to Parra they played superbly and won quite convincingly in the end. They just looked a look eager and wanted to win more than Souths imo. Really confident footy by them, they could produce a good share of surprise results if they played like that consistently.

Good win by Parramatta.

I wouldn't call it utterly surprising either.

Despite some poor results, they've actually put together some decent passages of footy and look more consistent than the 2014 team.

Souths were off but did well to make a contest of it. Had McQueen made a Guerra esque play they may have been able to pull off the unlikely victory.

I always thought that one of the 2 games on Friday night had to feature a QLD team ...

That wasn't part of the deal.

Well, that wasn't included in the deal NRL released.

It isn't apart of the deal.

It's just common sense.

Wouldn't be surprised if 9 pulled this to convince fans that Brisbane have to be the second Friday game.

One thing I like about Robinson is the way he tends to score tries.

In quite a few of them, even while at the Broncos, he does what looks like a little skip and then puts the foot down. The acceleration just makes him very hard to stop.

It was great work by him.

I do wish the Broncos kept him. He wasn't anything special, but I thought he would have been a good wing option.

He'd be a handy option now but I have no qualms releasing him when we had the likes of Folau, Yow Yeh, Winterstein, Hoffman, Beale, Copley, Gagai and Kahu coming through.

Apart of the reason he is the player he is today is because of his time at the Raiders when they were desperate. He made the most of it and while it ended in tears he certainly produced better than anyone could have expected in 2008.

Newcastle up 18-0 after 18 minutes against Penrith. Gidley actually looked pretty good scoring that try.

Moylan doing what he does well and sets up Mansour 1 on 1 with Uate who's never going to stop Mansour.

18-4, Moylan misses the kick to bring his season tally to 6/9 (66%), they're missing Soward's kicking, and so is my SVRL team.
