Further proof how fucked the comp is now.

The 'weaker' teams simply cannot overturn the momentum the 6 again and speed of the game creates. As soon as a run of momentum starts teams are scoring 3 and 4 tries in short time. Team thats on top gets to play quicker while the team trying to overturn the momentum is seen as 'holding on' so get 6 again'd. Ref constantly at them to let go quicker in tackles, and get told they are milking when coming out of their own end. Meanwhile, team thats on top is only getting back 8m jamming in on under pressure team.

Then fatigue hits when 1 team has had far less ball and the team struggles to do anything when they do finally get a chance.

The game is fucked unless you support the current top few teams.

Remember only a few short years ago when even the bottom dwelling teams in the NRL could rise up on their day and beat a sleepy premiership heavyweight?
I’m convinced a big reason why that isn’t happening now is player attitude & lack of care / pride / resilience.. players seem more preoccupied with their next deal, their next club.. they want out when the going gets tough at a club or if a coach isn’t giving them what they want. Pride in the jersey doesn’t exist at so many NRL clubs now.
