So that'll be 6 out of his last 7 games he has been suspended, and his one game includes a stint in the bin.

Why did we let TPJ go again?
Too much attention has been paid to him giving away 3 penalties, being sin-binned and put on report 4 times. And not enough for his contribution:

58 minutes, 13 hitups, 107 metres, 40 tackles (3 missed), 2 offloads.

Looks like Walters 6, Paix 14 as expected. Hopefully Riki and Capewell are fit to play:

I think this is a reflection of kevie being affected by media reports/criticism. Being aware of the criticism he got last year about his swapping and changing of the halves, he now appears to have a determination to keep the team the same, even if it is a detriment to the team.

And this is why some of us are fans. He is a really good player, he just happens to be a loose cannon. IF (and it is a big if) he can get control of his penchant for stupid, he's a gun in the making.

Billy will be named at 6, Paix at 14. Capewell and Riki are back.

Albert is having surgery to repair his Lisfranc injury, putting him out of action for 4 months.

Ryan James:

“Billy has stepped up. He can play six or nine. He is very versatile and is a great utility. He will do a great job. It gives Cory a chance to come on to the bench. He can add a bit of speed to the bench. We haven’t been working hard on our effort plays. In our first couple of weeks we were doing a lot of kick pressure, a lot of running men off the ball. We’ve gone away from it. They’re the things that when your teammates are doing them, you like to play with them. You watch what Penrith do. They run onside and run players off the ball."

“Tesi is just getting tackled as he’s catching the ball. We need to be better in helping each other out. They’re the things that go a long way to winning a game. Payne might run 200m in a game but if we’re not doing the things to help our halfback and fullback out then we’re not doing our job. We were extremely disappointed to play in front of 40,000 against the Cowboys and put that performance in. We have to put it behind us. We know the Roosters will be a big game. We got wins because we were gritty so we’ve got to get back to that style of footy.”

Well that's some decent changes I guess. Riki and Capewell back in for us will be massive. Let's hope for another Radley brain explosion like last year and maybe we're in with a chance.

Blaming the crowd for the poor perfromance?

And more talk - yep we know the issues, yep we're working on them, yep we won't actually do it.

Personally I would have Gamble at 6, Billy at 9 with Paix on the bench - that's some serious energy in the middle of the park. Turps to get a breather in QCup for the week to work on his service.

IMO we also need Pereira's energy outside Kotoni, some might rub off on him and Cobbo (as much as I love him) also needs a break back in QCup until he stops making errors. Kotoni's last chance before being dropped too. Would certainly consider Herbie to FB as well, with perhaps Lee inside Oates, not sure on that one but maybe worth a shot.

We have been flat the last 2 weeks, this would inject some energy again. We need it to even be a chance.

Expect Jordan and Kurt to be listed but they're both carrying injuries so it's liable to change. Riki's ribs should be healed but might still be painful. We've heard nothing about Kurt's calf.

Reynolds has a thumb ligament injury, but played with it last week.

Our strength is in our reserves. We're all over them there.

The fact they have struggled so much the last week two weeks but you can't bring in one player from outside the 17 on form or with any confidence says a lot about depth.

Only Gamble and Pereira have been pushing up from ISC- slightly at that.

I just want our forwards to play straightforward running. No stepping, crabbing or jinking into the line. Hit it hard and fast.

Same with the halves in the sense of no turning the ball back into the forward inside back at the ruck. Defenders aren’t getting tired and we make no metres doing it
