Since we're sidetracking into Origin selection, I'd like to throw Ezra's hat into the ring. He can't be far off the conversation now, particularly if his rival is Tom Dearden. He might only be one or two injuries away from contention.

While I respect that this is your experience, I’m definitely not of the view he was one of our best.

He was good though. This should be his bench mark.

No, he was still probably one of our weakest. But everyone was above 7/10 for me, so that's not exactly a sledge, more of a reflection on how we've lifted across the board, including them.

Re-watch the game, it is fun to do so anyway, he was excellent, like watch him only if you must. To come up with any other conclusion is pure bias.

Yeah, well I am biassed so you can't avoid that. But I'm also based, so I'm not complaining about him in the slightest. Was he better than Walsh, Reynolds, Mam, Staggs, Haas, Riki etc? No. I'm not there yet.

Mam actually had a bit of a shocker but he has so much attack in him, even a shocker for him still gets tries for the team, love that kid.

But yep, Walters was that good tonight. I challenge you to watch him in the replay and come up with any other conclusion. He was in everything both sides of the ball when he was on.

I'm happy with Walter's ability to pass a ball flat and hard. I'm happy with his attitude. I'm reasonably happy wit his defence. It's the complete absence of magic that makes me reticent to lavish praise on him, as distinct from complain about him. Ezra has magic in spades. I didn't think he had a shocker. He put Capewell away.

I do watch him pretty closely to be fair because I have spoken about him so much that I feel like he deserves that at least pay attention to him. To his credit he was good. To say he was one of our best is a bit silly though and I’m not sure it requires the bias ultimatum.

I guess that depends on the definition of “one of” though. Reynolds, Haas, Staggs, Riki, Walsh, Cobbo, Farnworth, Patty were all fairly obviously better. Then there guys like Jensen, Flegler, Capewell; who stood out. So if you want to put him in that 9-11th best player bracket and call it “one of the best” then I will agree.

As said above though, everyone was fairly great so there’s no shame in not being at the top of the list

Needs to sort out his dickfingers asap. Will cost us badly at some point. He's good for 2 or so unforced drop balls a game. Its not good.

I am biased towards thummy, I’ve always been a fan.

Plus he won a decider in his debut and Billy loves him. He gets first crack when Munster is injured.

I thought Billy was good tonight. Can never fault his effort, but he was composed and solid. And when you have livewire Walsh running around I think it works.

I think Mam has been a bit of worry the last couple of weeks. I love him, but I think he just needs a little more composure and to pick his moments.
