Absolutely killed it in the QCup match that just finished. He's ready, but I think give him a couple more weeks to prove his fitness.

Yeah, 100% - Billy has been pretty good in his current role. The reduced minutes definitely helps.

He’s a good point of difference late in the game. Someone will eventually have to make room for Mam and Mozer though and it isn’t looking like it will be Paix.

I didn’t see Mozer’s return game - what made it so good?

Normally a scoreboard doesn't tell you the story but I think this kind of does....

In the 25 minutes before he came on... they off a cross field bomb. 12-6 sunshine coast...


55 minutes he played.... 7 tries to souths... most of them up the middle. I reckon he has been a little dissapointing compared to the hype so far but today he was on a whole other level compared to the rest of the players...

Constant threat, passing crisp and variety (eg short balls, long balls, couple steps pass, pass off the ground, engaged the markers, made the a and b defenders commit as well, change of direction and deception).

His defence seemed a little off Though (quite a few arm grabs, but the effort in defence was certainly there, went after everything) but it makes sense he isn't hitting in defence and is a bit timid given it is a shoulder injury he's returning from. So I think he'd benefit from another game or 2, and wapters and paix will need to play a poor game or a loss to happen for him to come back...

Definitely. If we keep winning, I can't see Madge messing with what isn't broken.

Plus, like you say, he needs at least a couple of weeks to prove his shoulder is up to the punishment it's going to get in first grade.
