Late Changes...

1. Gerard Beale
3. Jack Reed
15. Ben Te'o
4. Justin Hodges
5. Jharal Yow Yeh
6. Darren Lockyer
7. Peter Wallace
8. Ben Hannant
9. Andrew McCullough
10. Sam Thaiday
11. Alex Glenn
12. Matt Gillett
13. Corey Parker

14. Mitchell Dodds
16. Josh McGuire
18. Dane Carlaw
19. Nick Kenny
20. Corey Norman

Either Dodds or McGuire will be dropped off the bench, we will know later today when Wynnum takes on Norths in the Q Cup.

Hmmm. At least it might get Te'o some better involvement. He's been disappointing so far. Glad they dropped Tronc

I feel a bit safer having Reed on the wing than I did with Copley out there.

"BRISBANE coach Anthony Griffin has made several late changes to his side for the NRL clash with Newcastle on Monday night.

After the side trained at their Red Hill base on Sunday, Griffin said young winger Dale Copley would return to the under-20s side while Jack Reed moves from centre to the wing and Ben Te'o coming off the bench to start in the centres.

Griffin has also re-ignited the NRL career of premiership-winning Bronco Dane Carlaw who along with Nick Kenny and Corey Norman form a new-look bench against the physical Knights."

Yeh I don't mind that. Reed is a tall bloke and showed good signs under the high ball against the Titans when he had a stint on the wing, and I think Te'o would offer a lot more from the centres than he is currently offering from the bench.

I think the reason players like Gillett and Te'o haven't been having much success this season is because we're playing so flat.

Those two guys thrive on having a bit of space and steaming onto the ball. That's not been happening. They're basically getting it at a standstill and facing up to a wall of defenders.

Our halves need to do more work on that aspect our game IMO.

Gillett was disappointing against the Panthers but was good in the first 3 games I reckon.

Tronc played for Redcliffe yesterday, and I only saw parts of the game but from what I saw he played pretty well without standing out. Not that he had to do much against the Sunshine Coast side, they are woeful.

Strange to drop players after winning a few games in a row. I gue$s it is a good sign for the club. Don't like Reed on the wing tbh.

I actually thought Gillett's game against the Panthers was his best, wasn't making his usual dead s**t mistakes that he's been making as of late.

The only problem i can see with having him on the wing is his ability to grab the high ball ..... his defense against a couple of solid wingers will be invaluable though

Yeah, would be great to see him score 3 tries and make at least 35 tackles on Monday night.

sounds like teo is in someones dream team????

on another note, it says a lot for how poorly kemp must be going that reed who has been very good at centre is shifted to the wing.

I think that might be the main reason for the change, with Uate being on that side, he might just use Copley as a speed bump...

Still, it does say a lot about Copley, Gagai and Kemp, that none of them makes the team atm.
