look at how he moved Hoffman just to keep Norman on the team.

However misguided that move was, Hoffman looks to be a way better winger than fullback since he doesn't have to
worry about creating something for someone else, just back himself and get to the line.

Titans have us covered in every department, even Steve Micheals will run amok, will not be a pretty scoreline.

I bet the storm are petrified about when they have to face the titans

If Hodges plays I will tip us to win. If not I don't think we can get over the line.

We'll definitely need the forward pack to lift again and get on top of the Titans pack. Which is easier said than done, they have arguably the best pack in the comp.

Putting 26 on the Storm withouy Hodges, and going down by 6, and thinking the Titans will give us a hard time?

I don't think so.

(Mind you, I thought the Storm would win by 16+ .... makes it all the more sweet if the form continues + Hodges)

This is a fair point but I am not confident enough in the team yet to say that the performance against the Storm wasn't a one off.

Well, we did score the tries down the same side against the Storm. It reminds me of when opposition teams would target Steve Michaels.
Who did we play again this week?

If it was a one-off, then I will be seriously questioning this team's commitment, and the coach's effectiveness

The funny thing is that if we had Hodges, we probably wouldn't have gone left at all, and would not have scored all those points.

If we had played the Titans today we would've had the game in the bag at halftime.

it will be interesting to see how we go thats for sure. im worried we'll go back into our shell.

macca needs to step up.

By your logic Dragons had no right to beat the Sharks.

We have a chance against the Titans but there's absolutely no sound reason to believe we will take care of them with ease.

I think my point is that this team showed v Melbourne what it lacked until then - leadership on the field for inspiration, and sticking to the game plan, which was it would appear, to let the ball do the work.

I think we took the Storm completely by surprise. I think the team itself was surprised by what it is capable of doing. The 2nd man plays were so goooood to see after being absent for so long.

If the team neglects the lessons learned in that game, then it deserves to lose. If it builds on it, I can't see us losing to the Titans.

Alec's point above is also telling and I hope Hook realizes sooner than later: we have 2 sides for attack, and the most under-utilized class back row in the comp.

Address those factors, and keep up the inspiration created in large part by the captain leading by example, then we can beat anyone.

Point is that it appeared suddenly in one game. There's every chance it could disappear just as quickly. Hopefully not.

But look at the week before. We couldn't have scored with a prostitute against an average defensive team. Week later we put 26 on the benchmark defence in the sport.

The fluctuations in this team right now are massive

Fair call. History cannot be ignored.

My hope is that the team is finally getting it's timing right - not quite perfect, but close, and it is self-reinforcing to put on 26 good points against the competition benchmark.

Also, for the first time in ages, and with the halves and hooker we have, we stuck to a game plan and didn't give up. The next step now is to attacke down both sides AND to start using Gillett and Glenn more and more as ball players and hole runners on the edges.

The Storm btw as I saw it played their normal game. They didn't have a bad game. We genuinely matched them for most of the match.

My hope is that Griffin looks at what works and makes the right changes.

Hunt starting Hooker with Macca being the fill in guy!

I keep on and on about it :glare: hahaha but we have the most under-used back row in the comp which is also as good as any.

This has to be brought out in the game plan - and I am talking about set plays, not just bash barge and hope.

Glenn's try last game was a gem - need that sort of stuff on both sides

Yeah I hope it's a turn in form, rather than a fluke or one off.
