PRE-GAME Round 5 - Titans vs Broncos

Kahu is a big loss. I was really looking forward to seeing Kahu take on a more prominent role in attack with Hodges being injured. I think we could of seen a little bit of Kahu's attacking prowess, which has so far been minimised with Hodges slipping in to fullback when we're in attacking field position.

Why is that whenever Reed gets close to being dropped, someone gets injured and Reed ends up retaining his spot?

In terms of Copley's inclusion, hopefully he has a blinder and it forces Bennett to drop Reed later when Hodges returns. If that were to happen, I'd much prefer if Copley shifted to left centre for the Titans game and Reed to right centre so that he's not marking up against Roberts, also so that it allows Copley to settle and cement the left centre position, that way when Hodges returns and hopefully Reed gets dropped, Copley won't have to move around from right centre to left centre.

Looking forward to Vidot as well.

I've wanted to see Maranta at the back for ages, just out of curiosity. Having Vidot come in as a result is just icing. If there's any game to do it in, it's this game, the Titans won't be easybeats, but it'll be the easiest game we've had so far. If things aren't going to plan by half time, there is always the option mentioned above, Nikorima to the halves, Milford to the back, and whoever out of Maranta & Vidot to stay on the wing. It's a much stronger attack but somewhat compromised in defence, but I would expect any issues we have will be down to scoring points, not an inability to defend.

This game just got so much more exciting for me.
If there's any game we can afford to lose Kahu, it's this one.

What the very little I've seen of Maranta at fullback, I've been impressed, so I'm very interested to see how he goes tonight. I'm absolutely sure he'll outplay Hoffman in the position.

I'm also glad Vidot is back :takdir: I hope he puts in an awesome performance and forces Wayne to re-consider letting him leave.

NOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!

Was looking forward to watching Kahu's further development, so a little bummed about that. Much like Hunt/Copley last season, it's been great to see him start to come into his own. Hopefully he can have a similar breakout year.

However, I am pleased to see Vidot back in the team. He may be on the outer to some degree, but this does show Wayne still considers him an option. I hope he kills it out there. Between him, Oates and our forward pack, we should be carving out easy metres.

Without Hodges and Kahu our attacking structure will have to adapt a fair bit. Neither centre is particularly adept at providing for their winger so they'll both have to go looking for the ball. Personally I'm hoping to see us dominate field position of the back of hard running and quick play the balls, then Milf and Hunt to go nuts off the back thereof.

If there was any a moment for a career defining game this is it for Vidot. It can either go two ways
1. He comes out and kills it and thus proves to Bennett he is more than capable of first grade at the club. Even if Bennett still goes with other players down the track it proves he is the ultimate professional and another club will pick him up because of it or
2. He has a stinker because he doesn't want to be there and clubs put a cross thru him because of his lack of commitment and ability to fight for his spot.

Tallis is full of shit. I wish he would **** off

Yeah, the Thaiday arse-suck games are pissing me off. There was another one this week where he was saying that he wanted the Titans to keep Myles, and then let out a sneaky, but not-so-subtle, line about getting Thaiday in their squad too.

As soon as Kahu is fit, Vidot is back to Ipswich.

Kahu has no luck. Every season, he cops some kind of injury.

I have a feeling he will be another Hodges. Won't be able to play a whole season.

****, I was so looking forward to Kahu's game without Hodges stifling him in attack.

As one of the biggest Maranta bashers, I totally expect him to have a solid game at the back, but not much in attack.

Glad to see Vidot back, and hoping he will have a blinder.

Of course, this is all a conspiracy to screw the 69'ers, right after I dumped Daniel... :(

Well I for one am hoping Vidot takes this opportunity has a great game and gives Wayne something to think about..............oh and tramples quite a few Titans players in the process...........hopefully Bird will be one of them.

Great to see Vidot back and hope he grasps his chance and brings some strength and gives the forwards a rest. Feel sorry for Kahu though the poor kid just can't catch a break like James Tedesco.
