As expected, it's an ugly old game this.

The Broncos are arguably the best team in the competition, if not out-right the best team but they're letting themselves at crucial moments. Two moments come to mind in the first half. Firstly, Oates should have just backed himself to score. By going for the spectacular grounding he gave Mead a great opportunity to knock the ball on and to Dave's credit he took it. Then there was the Roberts break where he threw the ball to the wrong bloke. He aimed for Hunt, when Milford was the guy and try as he might Milford couldn't reel it in.

When you blow chances like that, you always feed into the opposition and to the Titans credit they've been matching the Broncos set for set. They've kept it fairly simple and backed the kicking game of Taylor. For the most part, Ash has handled it, but notice how he faulted when he was under the pressure of Thaiday? Those are the moments that concern me in Taylor's game and why I don't think he'll live up to the wraps this year.

I'd like to see more structure from the Broncos in the second half. Forwards running onto passes and backs trying plays on the back of it. At the moment, it seems like the backs are getting the ball at inopportune times and it's killing the Broncos momentum.

I disagree. Oates got ankle tapped and that is why he got snapped and Hunt was the right person to get that pass as Milf had overrun it. If Hunt had taken it then Milf could have backed Hunt up.

You are right about Ash Taylor though and the forwards running lines would be better.
