PRE-GAME Round 6 - Broncos v Panthers

I'm interested to see how the Panthers go traveling interstate for the first time since 2019. Teams are known to lose all sense of rhythm and purpose when their routine is tampered with. It has been so long that this 'foreign' experience could be that catalyst for a long overdue loss.

If Broncos compete early on and manage to get two tries in front of Penrith it is arguably quite possible that their 'home' systems momentarily crumble.

I just have this feeling that if our forwards man up tonight we're in with a great chance of ambushing this bunch of disrespectful reprobates. Go Broncos!

They played us, Titans and the Cowboys last year away.

Nine reporting K Hunt will return to NRL this week. Maybe a late change?

nine are wrong ... he isn't permitted to return this week as he wasn't named on Tuesday.

CM saying he has signed a train and trial deal with us and will be available for selection next week

I know they have had a favourable draw but that can't possibly be true...

I have a feeling Oates will be primed for a huge game. The reality is, aside from To'o, the Panthers backline isn't much better than Brisbane's, so if they hit them hard, they might get phased by it. The front row should match Penrith's if they pull their finger out (that is a huge if) but the two glaring weaknesses are blindingly glaring - the halves and the second row. Penrith is light years ahead in both departments. They have two elite halves and three elite second rowers, we have headless chickens in all of those spots.
I love your confidence but Cleary is a boss and Luai a slippery fucker. If Croft and Dearden can contain that pair, I'm pencilling us in for the Grand Final. Spoiler alert: I already have.

Herbie Farnworth will be back next week against Parramatta in Darwin. Broncos Head Of Performance Andrew Croll said:

“Herbie was very close to being selected this week and with the longer turnaround he’s expected to be able to play against Parramatta."

“Ben Te'o had surgery on Monday which was successful, and he has now commenced a full rehabilitation program.”

If Corey Oates scores a try, we’ve won the game in my eyes.

I've backed him the entire time but this is not the game I'd pick to come back into the team though. Pressure will be higher than ever and I doubt we've fixed our wingers coming in.

I have a great fear we will have 50 put on us tonight. Between the Panthers getting hammered in the media for their cocky trash and our guys heads being dragged on the floor, it's the makings of a hideous evening. I don't trust our mob to stand up for themselves at all. It will completely negate the effect of dropping Milford.

I was wondering if he's playing tonight for the Broncos.

Physically I think so, metaphorically, maybe not for quite a while.
