I just want to acknowledge Croft's defence on Kikau tonight. It was brilliant.

Totally shut him down, Kikau was a non-entity tonight.

Proud of the effort tonight. The numbers in tackles, desperation and scramble, so much better. It was like watching a different team.

TPJ was inhuman tonight. Lodges best game since I can remember and credit to Croft on a solid game. I thought his d on that edge was good.

Staggs and herbie still to come back. If we can string some strong performances together like that I'm excited for what's to come.

I've wanted to see him get a proper crack with a team that backs him up. Smith avoided going to Croft. Then our 2020 was a write off.
I will take back my thoughts of TPJ and Lodge. TPJ was immense and the Lodge sent one theirs bouncing off every hit up.

Also I can park my rehashed comment that the reason Oates form dropped was literally because we weren't using him. Even tonight Dearden and Mead missed a couple of opportunities to put Oates over.

If Milford plays instead of Dearden we win. Dearden looks like a little boy who can’t tackle, pass or set up a try if his life depended on it

If Milford plays the entire team turns into a mess with zero communication, zero effort and no attitude. They wouldn't have had a chance to win with Milford, the game would have been a blow out as per usual. This isn't an opinion, there is 2+ years of evidence that proves my point. Before you go saying he is ‘just 1 player’, he isn’t. He is the highest paid bronco signed on as the playmaker for the team. His attitude and style of play sets the tone for the rest of the team.

Couple of thoughts
TPJ belongs on the edge. Wasted in the middle
We have badly missed Oates metres out of our own end. It’s helps us in our sets
We still badly need a class fullback. Don’t get me wrong Isaako is playing well but he made a few poor decisions tonight
And finally they can’t slack off, this performance means shit if they can’t back it up

Good effort from the boys, but still devastated that we lost.

Something needs to be done about enforcing hias/ ending the rorting. The panthers taking off a fwd with a hia then replacing him with another fwd via a hia and so on was a joke. Cleary not going off at a crucial period when he was apparently shaky is a meme when the rule is supposed to be in place to take it out of the clubs’ hands.

pangai and Carrigan put some shots on him, which were great shots too, and kikau tried to go after pangai and get him back and pangai just gets straight past him

On a side note, how gutted would you be after doing a special one on one strip to see your captain drop it cold two plays later

Have we found our game managing half?

I was going to ask the same question. I tell you what, it is his team now, he took it with both hands and he was excellent both sides of the ball. The key will be to back it up but if he does for another month, yep maybe we have. If so, could certainly use that money saved elsewhere.

TPJ and Lodge were awesome. Really good game, a lot, so much to fix, but they showed some real guts tonight.

Croft is the worst kicker on the planet ever.

Its one game and as well as he played, he didnt manage the game like a Reynolds would have.

Yeah... But I've been calling continuously for weeks to :

1. Drop Milford and..
2. Give Croft and Dearden a run and let them play their natural game.

I'm going to take the W, and claim the foresight on this one. I've been mocked about my calls to give these boys a go to run the team their way without Milford over calling the attack.
