It should be a compelling evening of Rugby League action with three games that should have big ramifications on the season.
Up first, we have Parramatta taking on Canberra in a game that could be a real game of the year contender. Both teams have made an impressive start to 2016, and given their respective capacities to shift the ball around I'm sure we're in for a high-scoring match that should go a long way to their respective seasons.
We then cross the Tasman for the Warriors v Manly duel. It's a shame that DCE won't be there because his presence would have evened things up, but I wouldn't write the Sea Eagles off just yet. Despite scoring back to back wins, the Warriors are struggling to put together 80 minute performances and at times can go MIA. As they showed against Souths, Manly still have plenty of attacking weapons and can get on a real roll on if teams aren't careful. I see them as another test for the Warriors and think this game could be the difference between either side making the eight come September.
Then at 7:30 we have the Panthers hosting North Queensland at Pepper Park. On paper, you would think this would be a fairly easy win for the reigning premiers. However, with Moylan back and at home it wouldn't be too surprising to see the Panthers score back to back wins. So far they have been in every single game and could have just as easily been undefeated or winless pending on their luck. If they can tighten their game and take more calculated risks it wouldn't be the biggest shock to see them topple North Queensland.
While that's all going on we still have Cyril Connell Cup, Mal Meninga Cup, Harold Matthews, SG Ball, Holden Cup, NSW Intrust Super Cup and Queensland Intrust Super Cup...and if that isn't enough you can always go through the replay of the English Super League games on your IQ (or just hit up YouTube).
