Carney is obviously hampered by his groin. Don't think we'll see him at his best till he gets that tended to. Such a large part of his game is his speed and agility.

Yep. And I think having a fit Anasta at five-eighth will be better than a hobbling Carney.

That strengthens their team IMO. Carney is a one season wonder and is suffering 2nd born again season syndrome.

Anasta @ 5/8 and Symonds in the back row greatly strengthens their attacking formation.
yup. how many teams this year have stepped up when their "perceived" key player is out.

Agreed with Coxy. Carney has been terrible this year. Makes Lockyer look in form.

i didnt think Lockyer was out of form. Not in the best of form but he isnt playing that bad

I dunno. Never seen him throw so many loose passes into touch, hospital passes etc. If I'm being honest, if Wallace did half the stuff Locky did this year I'd be screaming the house down.

He's been pretty poor.
At the same time, he's been taking on the line quite nicely & confidently this year compared to the last couple of seasons and his defence has been great (cough except for that tackle on patterson). Not to mention his kicking game is pretty good.

Oh for sure. Not all bad. Just saying by his standards his ball playing has been way off.

Mitchell Pearce was ruled out when we played them up here in Round 20 last year and we got dusted. Carney, Anasta & SKD stepped up and had blinders

Seems to be a bit of a trend. Locky seems to take a little while to get his engine going. Won't be long until some dill starts the annual anti Lockyer thread. Whilst post origin those who questioned him are fat from all the humble pie theyve been eating.

I hate how our left side backs are both backrowers. No pace out wide.

Thaiday, Parker, Glenn backrow, Gillett centre, Reed on wing.

OR

Same backrow, Reed centre, Gagai back to wing.

Wonder why Gagai was leap frogged by Copley?? Gagai was by no means great in his 2 games but he wasn't awful.

Gagai has been killing it in the centres in the under 20's.
Chuck him in the centres!
Defend Reed in the centres though icon_thumbs_u

Wow! He's carving up in the 20s? Shit, not just centres. Make him captain! Dominating that orsm competition!

Why won't the Broncos send the likes of Copely, Gagai, Baptiste and Norman into the QLD cup.

Stop trolling.
It's against the the site policies.

Who's trolling? I'm merely suggesting that picking someone on the basis of carving up in the Under 20s is about as viable as picking someone because they carve up at touch football.
