The ruck is noticeably faster than pre-2020 though.

It's a nice change from disgustingly slow gang tackles, working them on the ground, then peeling off one by one.

I don't see it that way at all, if anything the rucks are worse because we're seeing deliberate infringements early in the tackle count to unsettle the opposition and 'win the set'.

The biggest difference now is the lack of stoppages which has brought fatigue into the game. Otherwise teams are exploiting the officials more than the past few years.

It is actually worse than that. We have maybe about 5 guys in total who would make other team's starting sides - Haas, Staggs, Herbie, TPJ, maybe Lodge.

That's a bit harsh. Dearden, Coates, Oates, Cardigan, Flegler, Riki, Bullemor and Isaako would all get snapped up on the open market. There is even supposed to be interest in Milford, and we had to fight the Titans for Niu and Piakura.

The only players who might struggle are Brodie Croft and David Mead.

There was one a few sets back, Grant on Walsh, ref even said "Get up Harry" and he still held for another 3-5 secs
