Watching the Xavier Coates knock on is just evidence of what a moron he is. You don’t need to catch the ball. You just need to touch it. He should have just gone further back and touched the ball. Or, don’t worry about that and just fucking catch it. Honestly our team is full of fucking morons. Maybe sign some people that can actually count.

Only your spine players need to be able count. The rest just need to be Ox’s that just catch and run hard. We only have gazelles atm.

I hope part of his spray was telling them that anyone who doesn’t want to be there and put in for the jersey can leave and not come back.

Maybe once upon a time this was a good threat but these days there is no way a player wouldn’t turn up, he wouldn’t get his match payment.

2 instances really concerned me:

No.1 - When Coates dropped the ball off the kick off he looked distraught, there were no team mates rushing in to console him. I know it’s a token gesture and doesn’t really mean anything, but you’ve got to keep up appearances to look like a team, not one that is already resigned to defeat after 7 seconds.

No.2 - When Dearden dropped the ball and was ‘rag-dolled’ by RCG no forwards were rushing in and starting a melee, like, “don’t you do that to our halfback!’

They may mean nothing, but those sorts of things you see the ‘good’ sides do.

Yep and it’s been this way for years, probably since Thaiday left to be honest. Coates needed support, he’s a gun but he’s still a kid and his confidence was then shot thereafter and he turned in a shocker. Lack of leadership is really highlighted when this stuff happens.

I honestly think the issue with our club is too many of them have families. They spend no time together. Panthers and Parra are all good mates and socialise and care about each other. Our guys appear to rock up at training and leave and go spend time with their family only. Footy isn’t a priority for any of our players.
Most of our players since having a kid, their form has just taken a dive off a cliff

Yesterday I coached an under 11’s schoolboys team to a 22-4 win. It was 4-4 at half time and they were getting by on their talent. I gave them a game plan and they followed it perfectly and dominated the 2nd half. 11 year olds can follow a game plan, hold onto the ball, count to 6 and play smart, why can’t these professionals?

Even Bellamy couldnt do a damn thing here with this lot, the first thing he would demand is "give me a NRL quality spine that i can work with".

Is the plan now for Kev to yell at them before, during and now after every game this year? Is that the master plan?

I think the club and its roster are broken; prob best for all involved a parting of the ways occurs.

Our development players cant wait to leave...that speaks volumes...unless we offer way overs...but this then exacerbates the issue of soaking up cap money needed for NRL quality to come in...

Honestly, this will take years, YEARS, before its even a acceptable NRL club....

The fact Kevvie said nothing about the phantom six agains (which mysteriously disappeared once Eels got a good lead), or the Moses no sin bin(we were .5 of a second too slow and - six again. Moses holds on for four seconds- crickets), or the Mead knock on for standing under a bomb, or the numerous shepherds the ref let go and don’t mention we had to use a captain’s challenge to prove we never knocked on, or the bunker over ruling the refs ‘no try’ when he ruled the ball never travelled forward, or the fact the bunker actually said Sivo ‘does not promote the ball’ so play on and they score next set. Yet it was bleeding obvious he did otherwise he would have just said play on. The fact he said nothing about this litany of 50/50 calls going against us was the first step in turning me off of Kevvies coaching capabilities.

Any coach worth his salt roasts his team in private for that display, but he publicly roasts the ineptitude of the officials to the extent where 10k is threatened. To roll over and let that heap of shit be dumped on us without a single word is unforgivable and it needs to change otherwise it will continue and leave supporters totally frustrated and disillusioned with the club.

Get on the front foot ffs and start sticking up for our boys in public Kevvie.

That right edge is horrendous. Croft and forwards only slid a little or too slowly, Herbie stays planted and then Coates sprints in. Every single time the overlap occurs not because the other team is playing tricks but we make the overlap for them! Crazy stuff that they couldnt even figure it out for themselves on the run.

As far as I'm concerned after last night, the only two players i would be striving to keep would be Haas and TPJ.
The rest can play for peanuts or piss off to another club.
Dearden wants more than minimum wage? Cowboys can have him.
Coates wants more than minimum wage? Titans can have him.
This applies to every single player in the side, as right now, they have sullied the Broncos name and none of them deserve to wear that jersey.
Remove captaincy as well, not one of these cans deserves to have the (c) next to their name, not one of them has earned it.
I reckon last nights game pissed me off more than any other game since this diabolic losing habit started after round 2 last year.
This team has no heart, no resolve and you could replace any position in the team with a reserve grade footballer on the lowest possible money and get the same results these "professionals" are dishing up week in and week out and im sick of it.

I will always be a Bronco supporter, but these weak bastards are so far from what it means to be a Bronco that its a wonder anyone is showing up to support them.

Two wins in 25 games, both against the Doggies who are just as fucked up as we are.
This club is a joke now and nothing short of an overhaul from the top to the bottom of the club will change that.
I will go into every game from here on out expecting to lose with this team.

Yeah agree. Kevvie is probably right to give them a spray given the difference in effort from last week, but the players are already so beaten down after the last 18 months or so. Nothing on the football side of things at the club seems to be competent, players included, but they are the ones that take the full brunt of it. A spray like that should be directed at the recruitment and retention group.
