The next 3 weeks is so important for 2014. IMO, it will determine whether we make the Top 8 this year. I don't think this squad deserves to be bundled out in straight sets.

It's probably a softer run than some others. I'd be confident we can win 4/5 there.

Road trips to Canberra and Auckland without Origin stars.

Jagging 1 win out of that lot would be handy.

Storm twice, Rabbitohs and Sea Eagles away. There's 4 losses straight up. Warriors and Dragons, traditionally bogey sides at Suncorp and the Bulldogs are quality opposition as well.

3-4/9 would be a good achievement there.

That places us at 10 wins (plus 3 heading into round 7). 13 wins, 2 byes, 30 points should be enough to scrape into the 8.

But if we continue to blow games we've got sown up, then there's no chance. Heads will roll.

Milford thrown into a mess (probably renege), Barba down the Blake Ferguson route, Hodges last season, our ageing forwards anothe year older.... Bleh...

This thread is pretty funny. Eight pages deep when we all know that the chances of Sloth (Anthony Griffin's new name... repeat it 3 times to remember it and feel the sluggishness that comes with the name) will make even one change.

Ok, I will play along and make the invisible changes... swap Hoffman and Barba. Parker to the back row and Hennant to start in the 10. Glen to the bench and Reed/Kennedy to Qld cup. If Barba sucks again give him a spell as well. I'd name 17 people but seriously, only 16 will get a run.

As far as I am concerned, if Hoffman fails to contribute to decent point scoring opportunities and/or fails to score himself this game, and Hook keeps persisting with him at 5/8, and if Barba doesn't find his hat full of rabbits, this season is looking mighty fragile.

He went alright last year, maybe the kick up the ass with barba taking his spot will be the motivation he needs. This move would make sense for two reasons:

1. Hoffman has always been strong in defence and can defuse the high ball
2. Barba gives Hunt a kicking partner in the attacking zone and he will pass the ball out wider when needed

I am expecting no changes and a loss to be honest.

One thing I get sick of reading though is people blaming Ben Hunt when as soon as he gets rushed on whenever he is going to kick because he is the only option 95% of the time. I don't find that happens on BHQ much but on FB/reddit/etc you do see that a bit.

Hoffman is actually getting worse. Did he even pass the ball on friday night at any stage? I had a few drinks while watching the game and don't actually remember him passing at all. It is even more annoying to know that he has had actually done a decent pass or kick in earlier games.

At the start of the season the team were told to play what is in front of them and now it's back to one out every get the ball while standing still Griffin ball.

I am moving overseas in July for 2 years so probably won't get to see the 2nd half of this season(unless I get decent internet and livestream it) and at this stage that doesn't really bother me!
