Yeah, **** it. After watching the Storm, Penrith and even the Cowboys over the weekend, I'm so tired of having to watch a bunch of nobodies trial for our spine week in, week out. We're never going to get anywhere near a premiership until we have 3 of 4 players in our spine that are Origin standard, and at least one who could captain the Kangaroos.

Reynolds showed us this round he is in a class above what we've become accustomed to in our spine, and he's one foot in the pasture. This is going to be yet another year of us being collectively pissed off with our coach and everyone in the team, simply because they've spent too much money on forwards.

Well, they also say he’s probably a right centre which I agree with. He obviously seems unnatural on the left and I think he’d be a great right centre however we’ve put all our chips on Staggs.

I would like to see Cobbo at left centre and Farnworth on the right wing but that won’t and maybe shouldnt happen.

Im a huge fan of Herbie but the tough reality is, he is wasted as a left centre and we’ve spent too much on Staggs anyway. There’s an argument that Herbie at right centre over Staggs may have been better value for money but that is irrelevant now. I think we can’t afford to keep Herbie unless he somehow becomes and amazing fullback option or is happy to play right wing full time on winger money.

We really only need a serviceable left centre who can set up his winger and defend well on a modest wage.

It started with Pies. Unfortunately his ill-thought out 'burn the boats' strategy underpinned the further dismantling of a team that was moribund after the 2015 disaster instead of the start of the re-build.

As a result, KW had to start afresh and begin by totally rebuilding the very foundations of the club. Fortunate for us KW has been able to (largely) recreate the ingrained DNA of the original Broncos from memory. The only problem being that his memory recall is that of past player and therefore his recollection of what made the Broncos great will only go as far as culture and team spirit.

If we wish to see the re-build progress further we need to employ an assistant that knows the current game (whatever Vlandy says it is that week) and is able to convey those tactics to the team.

The changes in society, the overwhelming influence of individuality and social media means the player of today is 'naturally' inclined towards self-interest as opposed to a team ethos.

Any successful team in the 21st century will have at its core four players who are individually talented enough to work within a basic structure. They are called the spine for a reason. Without them the whole body of the team collapses.

Our re-build will be complete when we identify those four players and find a modern coach who knows how to stroke their egos to produce a team effort.

Left vs Right has a lot to do with which hand they prefer to carry the ball in and which foot they like to step off .

Is Cobbo left or right footed ?
I have seen him place the ball on the ground with his right hand and play the ball with his left . A la Dane Gagai .

Problem is right now, I'm not dropping Oates or Cobbo or shifting them. They're in front of Herbie in the winger queue. I wouldn't like to say he's in front of Periera. Maybe. But Periera is moneyball.

Yeah pretty much agree. I think we needed to decide between Herbie and Staggs and the club has done that so Herbie, as good as he has been, is no longer required long term

I've watched the latest game replay a few times and it is really becoming obvious how frustrated Oates is with Herbie continually stepping inside when there is a chance to set him up for an open run. As much as I love Herbie, his is definitely costing us try scoring opportunities on that left side.
