I know this isn't really the thread for it but anyway, Brimson and Campbell don't go into 1 number 1 jersey. If the Titans wanted to back Campbell, Brimson will gladly be taken up the highway at Red Hill.

I think Campbell is pretty average, another bloke who is riding his surname as far as he can. I don't really see him being anything more than a part time NRL player. Brimson should be their long term 1, cuz he's a pretty basic 6.

Walters and Turpin both should be playing qcup the fact Paix isn’t running is a joke what more can one kid do to get start he practically won the game for us last week and billy did everything to loose us the game and Turpin is way to slow

Paix will play most of the game I suspect but he isn't an 80 min hooker yet, he will be more effective with someone being there at the start and him coming on with more energy, The others are bad but we don't have the options, it's the reason I wasn't happy losing Levi.

Also starting him and then bringing on the other options isn't as effective, Turpin when put in that role has struggled though Walters might be able to do it if he fixes his pass selection issues(because then his dummy runs would actually have an impact), but it also takes away Paix's advantages when he is at the same freshness as the opposition.

seriously, how good was Graeme Hughes...possibly my favourite commentator of all-time...had the big moments like Rabs and Eastlake, but sounded smart enough to stitch the other 78mins of the game together too

He was all we got down here in NZ when I was a kid, so I'll always have a soft spot for his commentary. Rabs' call of Coyne's try in Origin 1 of '94 is apparently famous but for me it pales in comparison to Hughes'.

Oh no just been watching Kev's pre-game presser and he muttered that dreadful phrase whilst describing Ezra -"he's our future, hundred percent" . Not looking good for the poor kid then.

I have to say this game is a genuine watershed moment for me.

It's the same 17 as last week (the first time since the beginning of the season).

We're up against a team that is in form, but we beat them last year when we were arguably in a weaker position and less developed under Kev's tutelage.

We're at home (a slight advantage, but our home support is soooo passive).

If we don't turn in a full 80 minute performance I'm not sure my patience will allow me to be as invested in the club as I have been since 1989.

Perhaps a rash statement to make, but that's where I'm at with the whole shitshow.

Yea will be an interesting game. Sharks are killing it right now. But while they are a good attacking team, their defence isn't that great for a team in their position. We will need to score lots of points to beat them (won't be a tight low scoring game).

Ive been wondering if Suncorp should pump fake crowd noise through the speakers to try and gee the boys up and influence the ref (some guy with his finger on a boo button).

Even a direct feed from the mens' bogs would make more noise than our braindead supporter base. It is honestly so passive. No wonder other teams all say that Lang park is their favourite stadium to play at. I've seen more hostility at a Hillsong bbq.

In fairness to Kevvie, after that and although a little incoherent, he did explain himself fairly well about essentially taking the long game approach to his development which makes sense. Ezra is contracted for multiple years, we do not need to rush him. I just hope Kevvie has a plan and sticks to it despite media pressure he will no doubt keep receiving.

Yeh I was joking. It's good to see that we finally do have the breathing space to allow players like Ezra to develop properly by working on his game in ISC. He will be a far better player when he does come into the side because of it.

Same, but Tyson has another year left. He's good depth, but with Ezra, Te Maire and Billy, probably surplus to needs. Another one who needs to shine tonight. But he's surprised us before.

Herbie, I'm also happy to let go if he's looking for elite centre money. But maybe the reason he hasn't signed with anyone else is the offers haven't been what his agent has been putting out to the press. I trust the Broncos to make the right decision there.

TMM is a real mystery. I guess we'll get more of an idea tonight. Tesi also has another year to run. I wonder if we can offload him to the Titans to replace Jamayne next season?

I don't know what to do with Billy. I guess he's behind Paix on the bench, but I'd rather have someone more of a livewire like a Segeyaro there. Same goes with Jake. If Cory takes the 9, then I want someone more nippy coming on to relieve him.
