POST GAME [Round 8, 2022] Broncos vs Sharks

Probably not a coincidence Arey is on that side of the field. I always knew he was a good player, but he is better than i thought tbh. He defence is good, and like i said earlier, he's just like Locky in a lot of ways. Has that calming influence and just gets everyone organised. I think the last 3 weeks he's been our most important player and our best player. He's not only brilliant in his own right, he's making everyone else better.
Let’s all pray that he doesn’t succumb to any injuries 🙏🏽

I really can't believe how bad Gamble was. It's not a good sign when you hope your #6 doesn't kick the ball. I know we won really well, but he needs to be replaced. Either Turpin back to 9 and Billy to 6, or TMM to 6 and Cobbo to 1.
We cannot go back to Billy at 6. Gamble had a few shocking plays but he had a hand in all our points tonight as well. I don’t think Billy can offer that type of attack at 6.

He honestly looked like he doesn't fully understand his role being the secondary half but there is a player in there, He isn't this bad of a kicker usually it's like he is double thinking it or something.
His kicking is poor because he usually plays on the right... tough for a right footer to come into the left side and try kicking down blind sides.

If he's going to stay in the team he needs to shelve it in game and work his ass off on kicking at training

Gamble had errors but he was much better than he will get credit for. He competes, he actually has a brain out there and you can see it, he is quicker than he is given credit for, he asks questions and he defends well. He did a number of good scrambling tackles. He was better than last week, give him time as I think he will gel with Reynolds. He wasn't perfect by any mean, really bad at times but he cares and he tries really hard to make up for it when he stuffs up.

I think the thing I love the most is he's so calm - I don't panic every time the ball is bombed to him, he's on it, safe. The one he missed was only due to interference from Kennedy. The first try I think it's pretty harsh to bring him into question there he had to cover for Payne who was lazy getting back into the line and as a result wasn't back there to defuse anything. Best fullback we've had back there in 3+ seasons, it's like he's been there for months.
A smart footballer at fullback is something we’ve missed for a long time. Niu should not come back in for the rest of the season. His manager might need to start making calls as well

His issue imo is that he far prefers the right side but that’s Reynolds side. When Reynolds went off he went straight over there and put a try on
He is definitely a right side half, but even as a first receiver on the left he seemed to work for the little time he had it, we also scored off him via Herbie as he attracted 2 defenders though.

Reynolds has shown he can do both sides though so maybe Kev should work on switch ups during the game to get it firing better.

Didn't see it live. But it sounded amazing on the radio with Ginnane, Benji and James Graham with Dobbo on the sideline calling it. You could tell which commentator was which due to their accents, and it was a good combination. It would be interesting to see how Graham and Marshall would go calling together on T.V with Ginnane.

It sounded like a great team performance by us all round. Yeah there are little things to be worked on, Gamble was hit and miss, Farnworth should of passed and Capewell should of had somebody in support.

But that's stuff to worry about tomorrow. It was a gutsy win, and they deserve a chance to enjoy that one for a bit. But then move on and prepare for next week.
Ginanne is the best commentator in the game, and it’s not even close.

Gamble was putrid. He could have been called for about 4 forward passes, and his kicking was laughable.
I thought he really stepped up when Reynolds went off. Was expecting the sharks to take full advantage of it but gamble lead the team around. The way our squad is he’s our best option at 6. TMM is going too good at FB to change. Plus not having TMM defending in the line is a bonus too

He has a brain? He doesn't show it, he came up with multiple dumb ass plays.

Cobbo has been great at staying on his wing and trusting the inside men to make the tackle.

A couple times tonight Kennedy or Hynes went the run because the outside defence weren't biting and coming in early
Staggs was asked last week when interviewed what Selwyn was like and he said he only just got him talking which says alot in the with the way those 2 have been playing together the last few weeks
