Vossy might have it out for us at times but he is still lightyears ahead of everyone else.

Talakai had a better game statically than I thought. Thought he was bottled up pretty well.

Jensen with another impressive game, just can't understand why he only played 20 minutes last week. Kevvie needs help in understanding how to use his bench.

I thought he really stepped up when Reynolds went off. Was expecting the sharks to take full advantage of it but gamble lead the team around. The way our squad is he’s our best option at 6. TMM is going too good at FB to change. Plus not having TMM defending in the line is a bonus too

It took an injury to Haas for Jensen to get more game time. Haas can play 80 but he really shouldn’t have to ever unless we have injuries.

It was a weird game, we looked a bit slow & off the pace in the first half and then they did in the second half. It was probably the worst sharks have played this year, but we get credit for that too.

Haas seemed to be passing a lot more tonight which was good.

Paix looked sharp for the most part and it was good to see us with a hooker than engages the markers. Billy was a lot better tonight too, but I still think Paix needs more minutes to get the balance right.

Gamble started poorly, but he eased into it and looked better as the game went on, much like last week. His defence is still a bit dodgy.

Capewell played his best game tonight, he can form a pretty handy combination with gamble I think.

We left a few tries on the field tonight playing a bit conservative, but I don’t mind it while we are still finding form.

Credit to Haas here, he runs into the line and as soon as he sees a break he runs for cover, huge effort early game because a try there could have been a disaster early.

Never gives up, phenomenal attitude.

Also Reynolds late game, makes a tackle offload is thrown, doesn't do the lazy thing and give up, he keeps following the ball to force an error. Another player who leads every week with actions, but luckily also has the talent to be our most important buy in at least the last decade.

Bit clunky at times but great great effort. One of our best wins in years. Totally nullified the sharks. Gamble had some errors but some good touches too. The energy he brings definitely helps. The 17 we had tonight is our 17 moving forward, with Carrigan coming in for Kennedy or Palasia when he’s back. Turpins time in a broncos jersey is over unless injury strikes.

I didn't see the appeal of him at first, but I am starting to believe that Ginnane actually is the best. I personally think Psaltis is ok. But to me, 9 make it about the ex players/ personalities around him too much. Which does drown him (and Thompson) out. Even Warren has suffered from that for the better part of a decade as well though.

Paix isn’t fit enough to play longer than he does currently. Not sure if he just doesn’t have the motor or having some lingering Covid effects. When he came off in the second half looked like he was about to have a heart attack.

A smart footballer at fullback is something we’ve missed for a long time. Niu should not come back in for the rest of the season. His manager might need to start making calls as well

I also think we got a fullback worth persisting for atm, not just one because we have to. He may not be amazing, but he shows he ticks the competency boxes.

He’s played two games. He hasn’t played in 3 years. He’s gonna get a lot better with his timing. I used to follow him at the Panthers and he is a glassy player. Be interesting to see if he gets back to where he was.
