Round 8 - Broncos vs. Souths - Pre-Match Discussion Thread

I'm expecting to be soundly beaten in the first half with a second half comeback as our forwards run around their tired forwards. It won't be enough though. I don't think it's winnable with only a left side attack so hopefully our forwards run rings around them.

The Bunnies should be red hot favourites but lets not forget we almost got the Storm without Hodges. We are still a good chance but it will take a HUGE effort from our forwards.

Very disappointed no Hodges, but McGuire hasn't been up to his great standards from last year. At least he won't get gassed out towards the end of the season like he did last year. As long as Wallace does his job I think that won't make much difference. It's going to be a lot harder without Hodges, really don't think we can do it now.

Our best hope would be that Souths run onto the field with the mindset 'we only have to turn up to win'. As they are not used to success this probably won't happen. Even with favouritism they will most likely think they can be beat and consequently try their guts out. I'm hoping they read the papers and buy into the hype. We may shock them early and possibly hold on to win. I've no doubt we can win and even though I think Souths are genuine this year, a win is still possible. Qld did it year after year with the exact same scenario.

I think we can still win as long as we control possesion and dont give them cheap s... penalties like last week v tigers. RH defence is a worry though with Prnce and Kahu. Broncs by 8. by 14 if somebody can kick goals!!!

FFS Hodges was the reason we won last week.

Time for Kahu to show us why he's rated.

vertigo, I don't think you understand the effects an ACL tear, let alone two of them, has on the body.

Kahu is going to take a good year to show us why he's highly rated. If ever.

Ask Roosters fans how good they thought Hodges was post-ACL tear for them.

Souths definitely deserve to be favourites, but to me it feels like a game where Hannant and Parker will once again make over 300 metres combined, Thaiday and Glenn will chip in with 250+, and Hoffman will score at least 3 in the corner.

I'll be happy if we just stick to how we have been attacking and not try to sandpaper them to death. We will have to score at least 16 plus to win I reckon.

Read: Kahu might be useless, but all us supporters who talk him up to be the next greatest thing will have an excuse when he probably flops.

Well, at least we have that excuse if we lose.

A rabbit is hopping along the forest one day, when he comes upon a Bronco taking a dump.

The Bronco says, "Rabbit, do you have a problem with sh*t sticking to your fur?" The rabbit replies, "No Bronco, I don't. Why do you ask?"

So Bronco grabs Rabbit and wipes his ass with him.

It's funny because I imagined Twiztid to be the rabbit.

Excited to see mah g Kahu get another go. Though centre isn't his best position. Fullback is where he's best at

Sucks about the withdrawals. Although I am extremely happy they have used Kahu in the centers rather than moving Gillett or Glenn. Also looking forward to seeing Wallace in the NRL again...

Very happy to see Kahu get a run......not expecting miracles, just want to see this kid playing footy in the top grade.

Very tough assignment now..

I just hope our towards can punch holes through them. Our weak rh defence won't hold up on the goal line. In the middle of the park we have a chance

Written: Don't judge a guy on just his second game when he's coming back from two ACL tears.
