Isn’t Carrigan right to go?
Think it was a 4-6 week injury suffered in Round 4, so he'll be getting close.

Just started running this week, but that doesn't necessarily mean he's ready to go straight away.

They should loan Turpin out to another club that's short of a hooker.
Brenko Lee seems like a poor purchase, he's just sitting on the sidelines collecting dust and welfare cheques

Chris Sutton apparently been at Souths training this week... he was the ref for the warriors debacle earlier in the season so hopefully his presence at Souths will rule him out of officiating our game this week.
Is he a current ref? If he is ffs that is shocking. I don't blame souffs for taking advantage of it (although it is a huge advantage again for Sydney teams considering that's where the refs are based too), but this is a like a jury memebers or a judge in a trial having lunch with the defendants team before a trial. Even if he isn't the coach for THIS game, he will at some point this year ref a souffs game and he will also talk to the ref who will ref this game. The nrl is incredibly amateur

He's super human, no other person could recover that quickly. NRL.com had him as round 12
I asked if he would be back soon this week on here because I remembered them saying a grade 2 mcl (4-6 weeks) and this game would be 4 weeks I thought. It's quick but not quite super human...

Moral of the story. Nrl.com are shit and never right....
He's also studying physio so that might help haha

I reckon it was the beers hehe

The only reason anyone got excited about Turpin was the fact that his name wasn't Andrew McCullough. He was just as shit before he became friends with McCullough.

I disagree, initially he showed quite a bit of promise.

Then he got injured and not sure what happened after that.

Few teams have done it, Broncos included. They come and ref your intra club games and tell you- you can't do that etc.

I think this confirms it ladies and Gentlemen, mchunt is delusional
Remind me again who was hooker last time we beat Souths.

And don’t think it’s escaped my notice you have it in for Jake because he’s a compulsive ball passer, not a compulsive hog.

NRL.com casualty ward is unreliable. Our sticky thread is the best source.

I'm actually glad to hear the broncos have done it. Too often we have lagged behind with this type of crap. I don't think it should be done at ANY level but it can at least be justified at origin level (despite what nrl say, there is a different interpretation of the rules at that level and with the longer build up both teams have a chance to do it, although it's still incredible bullshit in my eyes), but nrl level no way...

It shows the lack of confidence they have in their refs for starters, but it also shows the weakness in their consistency of officiating. The nrl should be saying "do you have a rule book? Yep? OK fine then, refer to it if you have any questions." The coaches absolutely manipulate the nrl and officiating here, no club should get this opportunity...

Herbie?

So many excuses. Meanwhile, fast forward a year, against the same opponent but this time with Jake Turpin as captain. Gentleman, I rest my case:

Kevie Walters himself was captain against the Roosters in the 2000 grand final. That doesn't make him the best option available for the team currently at 5/8.

Turpin is a good NRL player, but does he fit the direction the team is moving towards, or do Billy Walters or even Hetherington fit the role better? That's the questions only the coaching staff can answer. Right now it would seem weird to stop doing something that we can see is working for mine.
