Selwyns made sense because he was risking being taken over the sideline, Cape’s was a rush of blood. He shouldn’t have believed he would out pace any of the guys he was competing with to regather that.
He was risking being taken into touch because he ran out there again... I think he realised he fucked up and then threw it on the boot.

I actually forgive Capewell's because a better bounce and it's a classic try. I don't mind them trying that shit as long as they back it up with good defence. Our attack has been impotent for way too long so as long as we aren't down by double digits or whatever I don't mind.
I think Capewell's came off the boot wrong... it ended up well in field, but I reckon he was looking for the chip back towards the sideline as it would've wrong footed the fullback who had his back to the sideline.

If he chips it over his head or back towards the sideline he has the advantage and at worst gets it pretty well into the ingoal tackling the fullback whilst they're collecting it.

Palasia has been good all year, and improving. Kennedy has been good, but isn't a long term option and has performed well twice. No way in the world should Kennedy stay in the 17 if Palasia is getting dropped.
As usual you get it wrong. Trouble is with you is that you only look at the result of a game and then conclude everyone but your favourite was shit. In the game against the Pqnthers Kennedy was good. No ifs buts or maybes , he was good but we lost so KENNEDY WAS SHIT. WRONG.

07 August 20 - 28 : 10 (to Rabbitohs)
08 April 21 - 35 : 6 (to Rabbitohs)
17 June 21 - 46 : nil (to Rabbitohs)

We only just beat them in round 1 - I'd prefer we treat this the same as we did with the Sharks game. Siege mentality.
Agreed. An 80 minute performance like last night could result in another victory against a disjointed Souths side. But Rugby League doesn't work that way and the Broncos are still a work in progress. Firing themselves up after last night may not be easy especially for a team that struggles for the most part.

Last night was incredible. I honestly didn't think they had that sort of performance in them. Stingy defensively and despite only scoring 16 points, they looked dangerous. Kevvie deserves a lot of credit for that performance considering that he has so little to work with.

But our road record is ghastly and rocking into Sydney and stealing two points on a Thursday night will be a very difficult task indeed.

Souths were far from convincing tonight.

That game should not have been that close. They helped keep Manly in it. And that game highlights that you shut down Cook, you'll shut down their attack.

Absolutely... If we are to win this game then they need to go into it absolutely knowing that it's going to be a slog for the full 80.

People can say Souths didnt play well and they only had to play against 12 for 70mins... but look at that crappy dewy field.

That is stock standard night football in Sydney.

It's like the old soccer saying... "can they do it on a cold wet night in Stoke"

Players like playing at Suncorp because it's basically always a dry fast track, but you may recall the QLD origin team has a horrendous record in Sydney in and around the dynasty period... why??... because night games in Sydney are basically wet weather games.

If this team can grind out a night game in Sydney it will be a huge turning point.

If they lose by 20.... I wont be too surprised.

What I do hope is that they all turn up.... that should be an absolute given if they give any shits about who their captain is and it's not all just talk.

Reynolds is absolutely our most important player and he will do everything in his power to beat the team that let him walk away... all he needs is the rest of his team to turn up.

With Souths winning last night this game takes upon an additional aspect. This is our battle for a spot in the top 8.
If we want a spot in the top 8 we have to earn it by beating the Rabbits.

Those scorelines were with Reynolds in the green and red though. And we beat them in Round 1 without him.

Souths are a much weaker side without Latrell, he is a huge part of their soul. They did not impress me at all lastnight despite the final scoreline. If we play like this week, we will win. The Sydney factor though cannot be understated, given how this team has struggled to travel. It will be a really good look at where we're at.

What? I never take the result of the game into consideration, I hate the weak argument of "we won so we obviously picked the best side" And who is my favorite? Is Kennedy competing with Oates now? I literally said in my post you quoted Kennedy has been good twice, meaning the Penrith game and this game.

Did me saying someone should be picked ahead of Kennedy trigger you into this nonsense rambling?

I’m not sure what is happening but your point that Palasia is more deserving of a spot in the team than Kennedy seems obvious to me.

I'm trying to get through your thick skull that Kennedy had in fact been good three games in a row which includes the loss. In fact, he's been good all four games this season. The fact we lost influences viewpoints and judgement.

And Palasia has been good all year, while playing more minutes. Palasia also has a bigger future at the club. So the only thing that should make someone want to pick Kennedy ahead of Palasia is delusion.

reynolds will be a massive advantage for us, he knows Souths players all to well and knows exactly what they will throw at us and try to stop it, I’m feeling confident we win

Souths are going nowhere near as good as you'd think a team would be going that carries the tag of "last year's grand finalists"

They got done by the Tigers, took a large chunk of last night's game to put away a team with a player down for 70 minutes

We should beat them

Who said they wanted Palasia picked ahead of Kennedy? Stick to the point and stop muddying the water. I'm trying to show you Kennedy hasn't just been good in the last two ffs, the last three have all been good, nothing to do with Palasia.
