Round 9 Discussion

Not even parra being down 1 man for the rest of the game could help them.

lol@50wboy$

I think the scrum was allowed against the feed because this time it was the hooker who won the ball.

Bare bums, slaps and flying chairs, and they call us entertaining.

So this is what the Cows will be like when JT retires - punching bags for even teams like Parra!!

I have never seen a side get less 50/50s in games than the cowboys do consistently. God they cop it. Been about four clear forward passes from the eels so far

Remember the good ol days of the 90's? Where the Cowfucks would get 50 put on them every week and they would only win 2 games a year? Oh and we had like a 25+ game win streak on them too lmao. Yeah that's gonna be life post furston. Gonna love it.

Who isn't loving witnessing the Cowanks minus Thurston? Their "era" is basically over.

I predict more injuries for him next year too.

Cowboys are also without Coote, Granville and Scott. Imagine how bad we would be without Boyd, McCullough, Hunt and Blair. We would be hopeless also.

We have (somewhat) depth though, a Bennett plan if you will. The Cowboys without Thurston, even with all the other outs, are an absolute shambles.

They've had how many home games now, against weaker sides? And will still be outside the top eight by the end of this round.

I predict Green to be sacked by next year. That's just my opinion though, which I'm entitled to.

Good win for the Eels and now I'm kicking myself for not backing them. As I was writing my expectations for tonight's games, I sold myself on the Eels beating the Cowboys but I'm very superstitious about changing tips and will only do it in special cases. Never the less, they were just too much for the Cowboys and when the opportunities arose they took them with both hands. It was good to see Jennings involve himself some more. He was often the missing man for them last year, but his plays from dummy half were vital and opened the game up for Parra.

There could be something to that win for Parra, but watching the game, I couldn't help but notice how poor the Cows were. Whenever Taumalolo was off the field, they had absolutely no go forward, their backs were horrid and Morgan cannot get it together. It's pretty sad when your best player by far is a prop forward moonlighting as a halfback, good grief. While it was a tough night for the guy, I thought Ponga did some really courageous things out on the footy field. One play really impressed me where he was able to make the cover tackle on Norman, race back to his in-goal and beat Radradra with one of the most ridiculous steps of 2017. There's a lot of Benji Marshall about Kalyn and just the way he's able to combine his elusiveness with speed. As long as he doesn't break in two, he could become some player.

Rep round cannot come soon enough for the Cowboys. JT and Fensom should be back to bolster their side, with Granville not too far away. You'd have to imagine they'll have to win that in order to keep in touch with the top 4, albeit, 2017 has looked like one colossal write off so far for the Cows.

I'm expecting a big game from Hayne tomorrow.

He will want to press his claims for Origin and he was looking very good in the second half last week coming up with some nice touches.

When Hayne wants to play, he is so good too watch and against the Knights, I'm expecting him to carve up.

Random West Tigers side tangent, but I think they've got a ready made Fullback to replace Tedesco for next season.. Nofoaluma is playing out of his skin right now. Let's compare their 2017 per game averages side by side, there's nothing between them statistically speaking.

Tedesco - 17.5 runs, 190.3 running metres, 0.8 line-breaks, 1.3 offloads, 1.5 errors, 8.4 tackle busts.
Nofoaluma - 17.4 runs, 183.5 running metres, 0.8 line-breaks, 3.3 offloads, 0.8 errors, 7.1 tackle busts.

That's just rubbish. It's become a joke across the league around how much luck and good calls the cows get.

Stop the trolling FFS. This is getting beyond a joke.

Five years ago I would have gone to bed slightly disappointed for the cowboys . I simply don't give a shit anymore - in fact I'm so bitter from recent losses I actually have a smirk on my face.... feels good
