Round 9 - Eels vs. Broncos - Post Game Discussion

It almost looks to me like they do no research, video or otherwise, on the opposition. They tackle every game identically and play their style oblivious to whether it'll be effective. The Eels right-side defence has been in tatters all year. The Broncos just needed to have runners and STAND DEEP. But no, same flat attack with zero room, which was easily contained. In fact the few times they did line up deep on that side, it was on the half way line and netted good metreage. But on their line? Nope, stand flat, no momentum, no planning.

Forget x-factor, sex factor etc... the team has no fear factor. Teams don't fear our forward pack. Allgood was bending the line FFS.
We are lacking a Tallis, Carroll, Ryan, Campion...

I agree that this is the worst broncos team in history And the slowest, Jack reed had a shocker last night. .. We signed him because he had 2 good games in a row,now back to a poor slow Centre with a lot of mistakes in him, we are the slowest team in the comp... our halves don't have the creativity of cronk or DCE..Berrick Barnes may be an alternative to cronk? just putting it out there. . We need some speed next year Imo

I was thinking about Barnes 2 yrs ago .......not now.

DCE should be our long term goal when he's done with Manly.

He's contracted to the end of 2015. Screw waiting that long.

In regards to McCullough, we've made a huge mistake comparing him to Cam Smith. His only 2 problems are his slow service (which can be fixed with lotsa practice) and his stupidity. Him trying to be Smith just highlights them even more. Get him to watch tapes of Buderus or even Mitch Reyn or something else instead. Quick passing and running from dummy half. No trying to create stuff until you get smarter.

Baptiste has a dislocated shoulder, why are people naming him!

You seem to have some inside goss or knowledge. How do you think Hook will go with replacing Prince in the side?

We need to shed the mind set which is like a disease in this club from the Bennett years, inherited by Henjak and it seems, Griffin: wait for someone to do something amazing; in the meantime, we just practice what we've been doing for the last 10 years - minus those who could do something amazing (like lead and organize for starters) but have, except for Hodges, retired. Bash, barge and wait for the "X" factor.

Proof? Look at our recent record when Lockyer and/or Hodges were/are out.

This team lacks brains, creativity and inspiration on and off the field.

I thought it had come back in the last few games. Funny how it disappeared when Prince left the field.

What does it really matter? Henjak, sorry, Griffin, will keep the same tired old game plan with the same tired old play non-makers for the rest of the season while we hope for the Next Big Thing to be signed next year to save our bacon.

Whatever Prince is or isn't, we went well with him in the side. Take him out, and we saw what happened
